The Valley Tribune is a successor to the Quitaque Tribune, which was established at Quitaque in 1960. The Valley Tribune serves the three-County area of Briscoe, Hall and Motley Counties. As a member of the Texas Press Association, The Valley Tribune upholds the highest standards of journalism. The Valley Tribune is a major news outlet for the three-county area it serves. According to the 2016 government census, the three counties combined have a total population of 5,572.

We at The Valley Tribune wish to Thank all of the Veterans who have served. I come from a long line of family who served. We would not have freedom of speech or freedom of the press without the service of the brave men and women who have served.

Of course my favorite vet is pictured here at his desk in Tay Ninh VN 1967, Retired Colonel David Barringer I have always been proud to be his daughter and of his service.
