Two Brothers Arrested in Clarke County Shooting; Mother Also Charged

The Clarke County Sheriff's Department has made multiple arrests in connection with a shooting that occurred on July 30, 2025, on County Road 1581 in Clarke County, Mississippi.

Darayvion Blanks, age 15 , has been charged as an adult for his alleged involvement in the incident. His older brother, Kemarrion Blanks, who is not a juvenile, has also been arrested and faces multiple felony charges.

The charges for both individuals include:
• Shooting into a motor vehicle
• Shooting into an occupied dwelling
• Aggravated assault

In addition, their mother, Danielle Blanks, has been arrested and charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, stemming from her alleged role in enabling or failing to prevent her minor son’s involvement in the criminal activity.

Sheriff’s investigators responded to reports of gunfire on County Road 1581 and quickly launched an investigation that led to the identification and arrest of the suspects. The decision to charge Darayvion Blanks as an adult reflects the serious nature of the offenses.

This kind of reckless violence has no place in our community,” said Sheriff Chancelor.
“We will continue to pursue justice aggressively and hold individuals accountable — regardless of age — when public safety is threatened. We also urge parents and guardians to take responsibility for their children’s actions and help prevent these tragedies before they happen.”

The Clarke County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate and urges anyone with information related to this case to contact the department at (601) 776-1015
