If you haven’t been fasting with us to this point, we’d encourage you to finish these last 24 hours with us. If you are unable to do a total fast, you can look into a partial fast or a Daniel Fast. There is great significance and supernatural power in denying one’s flesh and abiding in the Spirit and we’d love for all of you to experience that. Join us for tomorrow’s message “Are You Still Listening,” which will continue our study from Joel. See y’all at 10:30 am!

On this third day of fasting as a church body, we ask you all to continue to pray for unity. May we make every effort to keep ourselves united in the Spirit, binding together in peace (Ephesians 4:3) and live in harmony with each other with no divisions in the church, united in thought and purpose (1 Corinthians 1:10).

08/28/2025

On this second day of collective fasting, we want to encourage you with a passage from Ezra:

“So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.” (Ezra‬ ‭8‬:‭23‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

We know that by humbling ourselves through this period of fasting and earnest prayer, God will hear our prayers and provide for us just as he did for the group of exiles Erza led from Babylon back to Jerusalem through dangerous territory. They might have felt more comfortable with a group of soldiers to protect them (like we’d feel more comfortable with a full belly), but Erza knew God would protect them and we know God will do mighty works in W3C.

CALL FOR FASTING AND PRAYER: We're challenging the entire W3C church body join us for a period of fasting from Wednesday morning until Sunday after church. Fasting is an important part of spiritual discipline and gives us the opportunity to direct our attention away from worldly distractions and personal desires and towards spiritual growth and reliance on God. During this period of fasting, we ask that you pray for unity within the church. We pray that through this fast, the Holy Spirit will move in each of us personally and collectively as a church. If you have any questions about fasting, please reach out and we'll connect you with someone who can provide wisdom, guidance, and resources to help you with this process.
