Subject: Multi-Vehicle Accident

Arrested: 20-year-old female of Racine

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at approximately 3:29pm officers responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the 2000 block of 16th Street. The vehicles involved were a Nissan Rogue, a Jeep Wrangler, and a city bus. Surveillance footage shows the Nissan traveling westbound on 16th Street when it crossed the center line into the eastbound lane. The Nissan first struck the rear of the Jeep Wrangler, then spun and was subsequently struck by the city bus. A total of 11 people were injured. All injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The operator of the Nissan, a 20-year-old female was arrested and is being treated at the hospital.

Racine Police Traffic investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this incident. Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7816.
