🌙 Mount Pleasant is throwing shade at light pollution with an update to its outdoor lighting ordinances. Southern Wisconsin is heading into a period of unsettled weather to end the week with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms possible through Saturday afternoon. Any shower/storm will be capable of producing heavy rainfall. Far southern Wisconsin near the Illinois border has the best potential for heavy rainfall with tonight's activity. The stronger thunderstorms will also be capable of producing gusty wind and small hail. The rain potential should come to an end by Saturday evening with the passage of a cold front which will lead to a pleasant Sunday with lower humidity.

Slow moving thunderstorms will move east across Waukesha and Milwaukee Counties through 4 PM. Additional storms may develop toward Janesville and over northern Jefferson County. Isolated urban street flooding is possible. Lightning strikes expected.
