Radio Free Radford Welcome to Radio Free Radford! Since 2006, we’ve been the beating heart of Radford University’s airwaves, run entirely by students, for students.

Our mission is simple: to cater to the tastes and desires of the RU community through music and programming that resonate with your interests. Radio Free Radford was founded in 2006 by a group of students who wanted a different, more modern approach to student media. Finally gaining recognition as an official outlet of student media here at Radford University, Radio Free Radford has been at the fo

refront of innovation. In 2016, we decided to set our standards higher than normal. Having new management, we rebranded Radio Free Radford with a whole new feel. We are focused on engaging with Radford University and the community while playing music that everyone wants to hear.
