I 100% recommend stepping out of your comfort zone with your horse. You will not regret it. I took Tequila barrel racing at the Zone One APHA show and it was our favorite part. Western pleasure horses have more fun 💁🏻‍♀️ 😂

Tome for a little glow up ✨

The first picture is our first show back in the pen a year and a half ago after a 10 ten break.

The second picture is from the Star Spangled Classic last month.

Took my 14 year old unfinished mare and worked hard with her diet and exercise and WOW 🤩

Love this little mare, in every stage of life. But the lesson here is feed into what you care about. Work for your dreams. Invest in yours and their future. I have no doubt Tequila will be showing for many years to come and is in the best shape of her life at 16.

Spoiler alert 🚨
My unicorn of a mare sometimes is also a dragon 🐉
Everyone always says “what a wonderful mare to ride” and “she’s always perfect for you” and “a true unicorn”. And yes she is all of those things. About 97% of the time 😂 and then she has her spicy side.
Pictured here is the middle of a trail class, loping raised poles, and she decided she no longer wanted to participate, so she stopped and tried to buck. But ya know, that’s what makes horse showin’ fun 💁🏻‍♀️ and yes, she still got all the cookies afterwards cuz it was hot and I wouldn’t wanna lope raised poles in 90 degrees either 🤷🏻‍♀️
