BUT there’s a lot coming.

Red Hat Amphitheater is moving. The Convention Center is expanding. New hotels like the Omni, more housing + major developments are on the way. Hopefully a connection from downtown to Dix will eventually happen.

And BILLIONS have already been invested.

21 YEARS in Raleigh 🥹 and the OG Jasmin & Olivz Mediterranean on Hillsborough Street just got a major refresh!!

This location has been around since 2004 and is one of those spots that immediately takes me back. My sister lived right down the street and we were on Hillsborough Street ALL the time, so Jasmin & Olivz has been in the rotation for years.

And it’s still SO good. Everything is fresh, flavorful + made in house, and if you haven’t had their Zakis yet…START THERE. 🤤 The bowls are perfect for an easy lunch, the chicken shawarma is always a go-to, and you really can’t go wrong with the spicy hummus, tzatziki, falafel + baklava.

The Hillsborough Street location officially celebrated its grand reopening today, so if it’s been a minute since you’ve been, this is your sign to go see the new space!

19.1 MILLION people visited Wake County in ONE year 👀 Raleigh is a destination!!

People are coming here for Canes games. Concerts. Festivals. Tournaments. Conventions. Weekends with friends.

Those numbers are from 2025.

Before the Canes brought the Stanley Cup home. 🏆 Before so many of the hotels, entertainment projects + major investments we’ve been talking about are even finished.

So while 19.1 million already sounds WILD…I’m way more curious about what this number looks like five years from now.
