Phillips Farms of Cary, NC has reopened and it is SO MUCH fun ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽ‰

This is HANDS DOWN my favorite farm in ALL of North Carolina, and if you havenโ€™t been, it HAS to be on your bucket list this Fall. They have so many fun events and there is truly something for ALL AGES!

Youโ€™ll find acres of things to do! Live music, games, the cutest animals, food trucks, a mega slide, wagon rides, pony rides, the most gorgeous U-Pick sunflowers, pumpkins, mums, fun vendors, and SO much more! I canโ€™t possibly list it all here! Plus different exciting events every weekend like Touch a Truck and Sunflower Fest!

It just gets bigger and better each year! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Thursday: 4PM-8PM
Friday: 3PM-6PM
Saturday: 10AM-6PM
Sunday: 1PM-6PM

ADMISSION IS $22 PER PERSON AGES 2 AND UP

General admission includes access to all rides and games within the park, except pay to play activities like the apple cannon, apple launcher, and gemstone mining.

Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable and will be available ONLY in person, at the ticket booth this year.

Saying goodbye to Summer โœจ

To the long days, winding roads, campfires, unexpected adventures, and the kind of memories you wish you could bottle up and keep forever ๐Ÿซถ

This summer, I checked something new off my adventure listโ€ฆmy very first RV trip with ! ๐Ÿšโœจ And honestly, I didnโ€™t know how much I was going to love the freedom of having the road, the mountains, and a little home on wheels all in one adventure!

Thereโ€™s just something about slowing down, taking the scenic route, waking up somewhere beautiful, and realizing the journey really can be just as memorable as the destination.

Hereโ€™s to summer adventures, trying something new, and making memories that last long after the season ends.

Do you have a limiting disability?

Check out the America the Beautifulโ€”the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Access Pass!

Several groups qualify for a free or discounted national park pass. These include individuals with permanent disabilities, seniors, current military members and their dependents, veterans, and Gold Star families, as well as 4th graders!!

The Access Pass may be issued to US citizens or permanent residents of any age that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability (does not have to be a 100% disability) that severely limits one or more major life activities. ๐Ÿซถ

What do you need?

Along with a valid photo ID such as a US passport, driverโ€™s license, or state-issued ID, you must provide documentation of permanent disability with one (1) of the following:

A statement by a licensed physician. Statement must include that the individual has a permanent disability, that it severely limits one or more aspects of their daily life, and the nature of those limitations.
A document issued by federal agency such as the Veteranโ€™s Administration, Social Security Disability Income or, Supplemental Security Income.
A document issued by a state agency such as a vocational rehabilitation agency.

Where to get the Pass::

Get a Pass in Person:

You can get an Access Pass in person at a federal recreation site. Please be aware that passes are not available at all national park sites. Review the Places to Get Interagency Passes to find a location.

Order Online, Receive by Mail;

You can also order an Access Pass from the USGS Online Store and receive it by mail. While the pass itself is free, there is a shipping and processing cost to have the pass mailed to you. Interagency Access Passes are available online.

Resilience and so much love โค๏ธ

After Helene, Marshall experienced historic, devastating flooding when the French Broad River crested at over 27 feet during Hurricane Helene in late September 2024.

The town lost vital structures, including the Madison County Courthouse, post office, town halls, library, and the wastewater treatment plant

Iconic spots were destroyed, and businesses along the river suffered feet of water inside their spaces.

Residents began clearing thick sludge and debris immediately after the waters receded and Downtown Marshall officially celebrated a grand reopening phase in May 2025, with many local businesses and artists gradually returning.

Recovery is still happening, but look at Marshall now. What a precious town! The symbol of resilience for

If you love scary stuff, then this is the place for you! With over 18 attractions, there is something for everyone!

With 18 massive haunted attractions, creepy characters, elaborate sets, and enough scares to keep you on edge all night, this is NOT your average haunted trail!

My favorite is always the Monster Midway! A Woods of Terror tradition since 2001. Before, between, and after the scares, the midway comes alive with live music, roaming monsters, games, food, drinks, shopping, and photo ops. Grab a bite, catch the show, and donโ€™t forget to snap a selfie with one of the monsters stalking the crowd before you hit the trail ๐ŸŽƒ
