Art in Bloom is back 🌸✨ and honestly… it’s the sweetest little outing to do with your babies. I couldn’t stop thinking about what little Goldie would be drawn to.

So if you need a magical morning out… Wander through with slow steps, little hands in yours, stopping at every arrangement that catches their eye. It’s one of those places where you don’t have to rush—just let them explore, point, and take it all in.

There’s something really special about watching your kids experience beauty like this… colors, creativity, and a little bit of wonder around every corner ✨ this year’s exhibit is inspired by the celestial and zodiac signs are found throughout the exhibit so Amanda and I were hunting down the signs of all of our family members and now i’m remembering why Banks in his toddler years feel so hard… He is a true cancer!!

These are the days. 🤍

The slow mornings. The baby naps on my chest. The messy kitchen that may never get done, the little voices singing and cooing, the tiny hands always reaching.

I’m wrapping up the last few weeks of maternity leave and finding myself trying to bottle up every moment. Because somewhere between the diapers, the lollipop requests, the leaf blowing and the skipped naps… I know these are the days I’ll miss.

The days that feel long but somehow pass too fast.
The days that are shaping our little world.

Just soaking it all in while I can. 🤍

The Big A Greekish salad- permission for you to use your biggest bowl possible. This is the Greekish salad that ruins all other Greekish salads. 🥗

The only thing I wish I had was some salty olives! It’s simple but somehow tastes like the best thing in the fridge.

The kind of salad where people say “wait… what did you put in this?” after the first bite. The thyme is essential for this!!

10/10 Grinder inspired by my favorite sub shop that just closed it doors… I gently mix all of these things in the bowl and then put a lid on it! It is so good once it sits in the fridge and soaks everything up overnight! I am notorious for never making the same thing twice because I never truly follow a recipe. I always just throw whatever’s in our fridge together and I definitely never measure, so, have fun with this! Today I put it over iceberg lettuce to stretch the dense bean salad longer throughout the week. Definitely bringing this to tomorrow’s Book Club! Save this for your next protein loaded lunch!

Genius day-date unlocked ✨
Both on leave, nowhere to be but here — lunch at at the doing it exactly right. Clover Club + Nocella cocktails 🥂, butternut squash soup, beef tartare, porcetta sandwich with fries (that lemon zest?? unreal), and a chirashi bowl that deserves its own post.

Finished the afternoon with a slow walk around the lake on the Greenway, soaking up a perfect 75° day, feeding Goldie in the shade, catching her diaper change before it turned into a blowout and resting like pros. Feelin like today’s a good day to play the lottery?? Proof that the best plans are good food, good weather, and nowhere else to rush to 💛

now open in Rocky Mount! Blake got the wings tossed in bbq and tenders with the slim sauce and sweet and sour dip, with fries. I got the 4 tenders with ranch, cayenne ranch, and garlic Parmesan. It was good but now I know all I need is my tried and true classic ranch in the future! The Mac is extremely saucy, so I’ll go with the french fries or try out the fried pickles next time!
