Downtown Marshall, NC is open for business! If you find yourself out in western North Carolina, please stop in and patronize one (or more) of the businesses. They are such a nice group of people and they need our help now to patronize their businesses so they can really move forward.

It's not "all" done though, so if you can spend a day volunteering, they would be very grateful! If not, then please donate what you can, even if it is just a few dollars. Many are still rebuilding, even though several are beginning to reopen.

The video shows two very different scenes---October 2024 when we couldn't even go there, and June 6, just a few days ago. What progress has been made from then until now!

Marshall University Alumni Association-Raleigh Durham Chapter and Marshall University Alumni Association-Charlotte & Surrounding Area, thank you for coming together to play a small part in this. You make Marshall (University and the town) proud!

For those of us at a distance from Huntington, we also did our own Community Care projects. That's what it is all about....helping out where you can.

Our Community Cares Project was featured on Marshall University Foundation and Alumni Association page this morning! I also added some background information in their post's comments because our team worked hard and the people of were warm, welcoming, and appreciative of us. So many of the flood victims feel forgotten by the outside world, but if anyone knows the struggle to come back from unspeakable tragedy, it's Marshall University, They still need our help and although we can't fix it all, we were able to fix a little, and be inspired by the people there. πŸ’šπŸ’š
