Breaking News 🚨 Garrett Marchbanks Lands Second 450 Spot with Monster Energy Kawasaki for 2026 🏁
Monster Energy Kawasaki has officially confirmed Garrett Marchbanks as its second 450 rider for the 2026 season, joining Chase Sexton under the factory tent.
After weeks of speculation between Marchbanks and teammate Cameron McAdoo, the team ultimately chose the 23-year-old Utah native, who brings prior 450 experience from his time with Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX in both AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross.
Initially, reports suggested Marchbanks had declined an early offer to move up, but sources indicate Kawasaki sweetened the deal — possibly with contract incentives or sponsor bonuses — to secure his signature for another year.
The decision follows Kawasaki’s scramble to fill its lineup after the Jorge Prado negotiations fell through. With his size, strength, and growing maturity, Marchbanks is seen as a solid fit for the factory 450 program.
Unfortunately, the move leaves riders like Valentin Guillod out of contention, as Kawasaki finalizes its 2026 roster with Sexton and Marchbanks leading the charge.
