Originally built as a 1940s Art Deco automobile dealership, this Durham landmark has been thoughtfully reimagined as Delancey Tavern.
The building’s historic bones—streamlined detailing, expansive glazing, and the openness of the original showroom—translate naturally into a vibrant contemporary dining space. A great example of how adaptive reuse can preserve character while giving historic architecture a new life.
the showroom has traded cars for craft cocktails and contemporary American cuisine—while the historic bones of the building still steal the show.
