Like most things I produced in 2025, my recap is late 🤣.
2025 was quite the year. We moved into our first home and welcomed a new addition our family. I got to build out a new Home Office/YouTube Studio. I opened a PO Box and used it to highlight several indie creators. We worked with more publishers than ever before, and I hosted my first convention panel. We hit 20k subscribers, and I gave away a bunch of books!
HeroesCon was especially meaningful this year. I got to introduce my daughter to several industry veterans who have become friends and family over the years. It was amazing to meet people like , and in person while sharing my love for the medium from a convention stage. Then I got to do it all over again at GalaxyCon with one of my best friends.
The year wasn’t without it’s tough points though. I didn’t adjust to all the new responsiblities as easily as I thought I would. I had more bills, less sleep, and less time to complete tasks. The industry I work in full time is in a state of upheaval due to the political landscape, and that uncertainty throws things off quite a bit. I spent a lot of time feeling like I was behind on something or putting energy in the wrong places. E-mails sat unread, the podcast came to a grinding halt, and equipment failures almost took me out of the game completely. Then you guys came through and saved the channel! I could go on forever expressing my gratitude for that part.
For me, 2026 is a year of renewed focus. More planning. Better organization & strategy. Interviewing more creators. Introducing you to more stories. Using my voice in new and interesting ways. Doing my best to leave the comics medium in a better state than I found it.
As a side project, I’m rebranding my old Music Marketing channel this year. It will be part behind the scenes, part business education for creatives. I’ll be posting there once a week starting later this month. If you’re curious about the inner workings of life as a content creator, follow me at .club
Cheers to an amazing 2026!
