The annual Messiah concert brings together local singers, instrumentalists, and music lovers to celebrate the holiday season through one of the world’s most beloved choral works. The event is offered free to the public, continuing a long-standing commitment to accessible arts experiences in East County.

No football player or coach wants to lose a game, but since Julian High School lost to Borrego Springs in the second round of this year’s CIF playoffs the season was a positive one for Julian head coach Eddie Valenzuela.

The playoff games were the first for Julian since 2017. “The kids worked hard, and they deserved to be there,” Valenzuela said.

This year the Frontier Conference gave all-league cross country status to the top 20 finishers in each race at the conference championship meet, and two Julian harriers were among the all-league runners.

The County of San Diego collected $582,064.44 of Fiscal Year 2024-25 Transient Occupancy Tax revenue from lodging establishments in Julian.
