Join C. Vision Productions as our cameras head trackside around Chicago in Windy City Rails, Volume 8 - "Downtown to the Airport." As the name implies, our main areas of focus will include locations near Downtown Chicago and the very busy network of rails that comprise the near northwest side of the city, many within a short distance of O'Hare International Airport. Along the way you will witness urban Class 1 switchers plying the back streets of the city, view high-density passenger railroading and even catch a host of passenger specials along the way, at some locations that are "off limits" to the casual railfan photographer. The near northwest side of town is rife with the colorful action of roads Canadian Pacific, Canadian National, Union Pacific, Metra and the Indiana Harbor Belt.

On the border of Fargo, North Dakota is the city of Moorhead. It is here that the BNSF's KO and Prosper Subdivisions join at a point called Moorhead Junction. This busy spot hosts numerous BNSF trains daily. Along with main line freights and coal trains, many yard jobs and transfers use this junction to get to and from the large yard in the adjacent town of Dilworth, MN.

This program features C&NW trains operating on former Rock Island, Chicago Great Western and Minneapolis & St. Louis lines in Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota. Plenty of Midwest action is captured as trains operate over the Spine Line that runs from St. Paul, Minnesota to Kansas City, Missouri. Fred also captures a train on the ex-CGW from Des Moines, Iowa to St. Joseph, Missouri. Finally, we see several C&NW F-7's as they pull freight on ex M&St.L and CGW lines in Iowa and Minnesota.

We follow some action on the Canadian National’s former Wisconsin Central line from Sussex to Steven’s Point, Wisconsin. We visit such places as Duplainville, Byron Hill, Fond Du Lac and Stevens Point. These trains were captured in 2013 when the CN still used IC painted SD40-2’s and SD70’s, Cowled C40-8M’s and SD75I’s on main line freights. Plus, you get to see a couple great depots and some of the magnificent landscapes of east central Wisconsin.
