The AuDHD entrepreneur experience isn’t a one size fits all. Even with similar diagnosis/identities we experience the roles in business very differently.

This goes to show that “how to run A business” is not the same as “how you want to run YOUR business.”

Learning your Neurotype, finding what fits with ease for you, how to outsource and collaborate has been essential in both our business ventures.

Join us Jan 23 with to talk all things AuDHD Entrepreneurship!

We also created a free guide “So many ideas, not enough bandwidth” to explore additional income stress based on energy and capacity for your ND brain!

Being an AuDHD entrepreneur is a mixed bag of capacity, interest, and urgency. We’ve found that collaborating with colleagues who understand, respect and support your neurotype makes all the extra bs so much easier.

Being upfront about your needs and preferences increases the chances that they are met!

Here Patrick and Jamie navigate how they collaborate on social media to share about the upcoming master class: The AuDHD Entrepreneur tug of war on January 23rd hosted by NeuroPebble

Little reminder that even with as much as I think I know about ADHD and neurology I still have 32+ years pre diagnosis of feeling like something was wrong with. So of course when something feels off my brain jumps to it must be me not trying hard enough.

Alas it could be a number of factors that just made executive function feel impossible over the last week. Was it the rain? End of year rest? New meds? Luteal phase? Or just weird week? Who knows.

In this moment I grieved that there might be a simple change that can bring my brain back online, but I also know that I am in the middle of a major life transition and things may still feel off.

Giving myself a little extra grace and compassion 💜

You’re not lazy it’s adhd

When procrastination is all consuming. I had a slide deck due on Monday, it is now Friday and I haven’t submitted. BUT I have been thinking about it constantly for the entire week!

From the outside it appears I’ve done nothing. From a tangible productive outcome… I haven’t.

Yet I have been thinking about it constantly, all week, planning it in my head, talking about it…. But I just .. can’t… sit down…. And start. It feels like a physical road block.

I want to, I need to, I know how to… and I just can’t. This is where so many of us are dismissed as “not trying” because the mental effort is invisible.

I know once the urgency hits, an my executive function clicks into gear, this presentation will flow out of me.

But this is exhausting.

( I promise you will have the slides soon!)

That time of year again … ethical boundaries vary. They are not all or nothing and rigid. There are times the ethical decisions is to prioritize the relationship.

There can still be boundary considerations when gifts show up in the therapy room. But it doesn’t have to be a never thing.

I know secret Santa isn’t a new thing, but when my family made the switch to that being the primary way we did Christmas it made such a huge impact for our ND brains

The demand decreased and the intentionality increased. Like many ND people I tend to penguin pebble my gifts/affection and find it more difficult to come up with a gift when it is a “requirement.” It made the holiday more stressful than enjoyable. Now we each focus on one person and are able input more thought, and intention into the gift.

So something that started because of all our birthdays, and Christmas, and the family growing up…has actually turned into a really thoughtful neuroaffirming interaction!
