Well, we're into another brand new year and you can now look back to see how you have been doing. It's review time!! Each year, we update our Net Worth statement. It shows us how our money is growing (or if it isn't) and in what areas. Since we have been on a budget and focused on getting out of debt, we have seen some great advances. We hope you do too. How much debt have you paid last year? Do you need a class refresher? Remember, you have a lifetime membership and classes begin again on Jan 17th. Check your mutual funds. How are they performing in relation to the comparable benchmark? Are your Aggressive Growth funds keeping up with the S & P 500? Are your Growth and Income funds keeping up with the Russell 1000? We just went through ours and are making some adjustments. For the most part, when you invest in a mutual fund, you should exercise patience and let it grow. Dave never tells us to trade mutual funds like baseball cards so don't fall into that trap. It is okay if a fund doesn't keep up with the benchmark for a particular year or period but if it is seriously lacking over possibly a few years, you may want to consider moving it to a better performing fund. Are you on your way to contributing 15% toward your retirement? Invest some time looking at it. Get with a local ELP for help and let's get this wealth snow ball rolling!!!
