One day, a man was walking along the beach early in the morning. The sky was painted with soft colors of sunrise, and the waves whispered gently to the shore. As he walked, he noticed a young girl throwing something into the ocean. Curious, he came closer and saw thousands of starfish scattered across the sand, left behind by the tide. One by one, she picked them up and tossed them back into the water.
The man smiled and said, “There are so many. You can’t possibly make a difference.”
The girl picked up another starfish, gently threw it into the sea, and replied, “It made a difference to that one.”
Those simple words stayed with the man forever.
