Holding hands 🥰

Name: Tui
Species: Boa Constrictor Imperator, captive bred
Morph: VPI T+ Snow
Size: approx 4.5ft
Enclosure: 6x2x2 Toad Ranch (bioactive)

And before anyone goes berserk, I am very aware he is “holding” my hand as a way to simply move around his environment, not showing affection. Sheesh. Also, no, he does not want to eat me nor is he constricting my hand, only giving it a gentle “hug” in order to move about. There’s a difference. Know your animals.

I dare you to stay grumpy 😉

Real talk: I have clinical depression and anxiety. While every day isn’t horrible and many days aren’t great, having my animals around helps more than I’m able to put into words ♥️

Even with as big as he’s getting, he still likes the top of my head 😂

I don’t have his exact measurements but I think he’s coming up on 6ft. Still as sweet and gentle as ever at almost 2yrs old 🥰

Another girl in my care I haven’t done a formal introduction of yet.

This is April O’Neil - she’s a 4yr old Kayuadi reticulated python. She’s been with us for a few weeks now and is a very curious animal who loves to explore!

It’s been a really fun and educational learning curve getting to know adult personalities vs. babies and subadults. I’d like to think I’m growing as a keeper and that I still have a ton to learn!
