✨Here’s how to hypnotize your baby to sleep:

First, you must be bonded. This will only work for primary caregivers.

Primary caregivers - you are POWERFUL. You’re the energetic alpha whose nervous system response determines the ‘feel’ of the room.

(Have you ever noticed, when a toddler gets hurt, they look around to see how people are reacting before they react? If you make a big deal about it, they’re sure to get hysterical. But if you remain calm, they are more likely to be calm.)

The same concept applies to babies. They look to their caregiver (safe place) for permission to be calm and relaxed.

The more harmonized you are with the baby, the more energetic power you have. Coherence.

The best part? The room doesn’t need to be silent or dark. Truly, there can be chaos everywhere around her. And I can still put her to sleep. While we were filming this video, there was actually techno music playing in the kitchen… But I had to mute it due to copyright issues. 😅

Part of my technique in making a space feel safe for MY baby is having a fun and joyful energy. Hence my dancing and physical play. But everyone’s way of making a space feel safe is different.

In traditional Chinese medicine, qi is the energy that moves through the body, while Shen represents the mind and spirit. A baby’s qi is considered immature and easily disrupted, so a calm caregiver can help settle their energy and quiet their Shen.

You can call it qi. Science might call it co-regulation. Either way, babies often need to borrow our calm before they can create their own!

Wherever I am, I CAN become the calm environment she can fall asleep inside.

And that is how I help raise an unbothered baby who can sleep almost anywhere! ✨

Have you tried this? Any questions!?

*looks at calendar* I’ll be available once she loses this baby fat.

Till then - my lips have a standing appt with these cheeks.

I was ABOUT to throw this out - but then I thought….hmmm looks like it might be the PERFECT drying rack those awkward bottle and pump parts.

Turns out I was right! 🙌🏼

Should I feel bad about not taking my 3 and 5 year olds to Disney?

I mean eventuallllly we’ll go to Disney…once we catch all the house mice.

What do you think makes a truly fun mom?

Curious to know your thoughts.

💩 I can't tell you how many times this has saved us.

Put a thin burp cloth under your baby in their car seat. When the inevitable blowout happens you just pull the cloth, put a fresh one down, and keep driving! No unstrapping them in a parking lot. No scrubbing the seat.

The thin flannel ones are best - good barrier without much mass.

(Please don't use a blanket or anything thick under your baby in a car seat! It messes with the harness and it isn't safe. Thin cloth only.)

Just don't forget to put a new one down before you keep going!

Save this before your next road trip ❤️

Longest 9-months of my life to get this appt tbh.

This was my second professional session with this expert lymph masseuse and I have to say…this time around it was a bit more intense 😬

Linking my first appt.

Apparently the two of us remember the last 8 hours very differently 🤪

Anyone else feeling extra GOOD this morning!? 🙃

Not knowing *THIS* is a BIG reason why being a first time mom is SO hard.

Us seasoned moms want to help!!

By the second and third time around - we realize that SO much of what is going on with our babies is actually just a phase…often developmental…and dare I say - basic? Lol

And personally, I look back and realize that in so many cases it actually wasn’t even necessary to intervene…because whatever weird thing going on with me or my baby was just part of the process.

If you’re going through something hard/weird postpartum feel free to share - us 2nd and third time moms are here to tell you if we’ve been through it to…

❤️ So maybe you don’t have to overreact like we did the first time around.

Worth the 9-month wait.

If your baby goes stiff as a board the second you try to bend them, this is the workaround.

You cannot force a hysterical, rigid baby into a gas relief position. So you change the order.

1) Sit them upright against you first. This is already a good position for gas relief, and it calms them down
2) Clockwise belly rubs
3) Bicycle the legs
4) Once they are chill, go into the deep V, ankles crossed and up high, so the knees press on the lower abdomen

The trick is that you soothe first and stretch second. Fighting a stiff baby into position never works.

Save this for the next time she will not bend.

I'm a 3rd time mom sharing the things I wish someone had shown me with my first.
