It’s Throwback Thursday. Apparently May 21, 1936, was a busy day in Randolph.
The Lions Club elected officers, local egg men turned a Chevrolet truck into a refrigerated unit for trips to Chicago, a proposed air mail route was rejected in Washington, and northeast Nebraska was waiting on highway improvements.
In other words, Randolph had politics, poultry, transportation drama and road construction — which sounds suspiciously like a modern news week, just with fewer Facebook comments.
