Meade County South Dakota

At approximately 12:21 this afternoon, a significant crash was reported on Hwy 79 North, in the area of the Full Throttle Saloon. Anyone in the area can expect delays in north and south bound traffic. At this time all the involved parties are expected to survive the crash.

The crash is being investigated by the South Dakota Highway Patrol with assistance by the Meade County Sheriffs Office.

Thank you to all the fire departments who responded. Sturgis Fire and Ambulance, as well as Vale Volunteer FD.

The Meade County Sheriffs Office reminds everyone to slow down, wear a seatbelt, and always drive life your life depends on it, because it does!
