I don’t know about you, but if I’m making chicken, I don’t want it to taste like chicken 😂
This is the marinade I throw together anytime I’m making chicken thighs, and it has become one of those recipes I can make without even thinking about it.
If you’re someone who gets a little nervous about cooking chicken, this is the kind of recipe I want you to have in your back pocket!! The marinade does the heavy lifting, and then the air fryer (or oven) takes care of the rest.
Plus, everything goes straight into a gallon Ziploc bag, so I can mix it, marinate it, and skip dirtying another bowl. Because as a busy mom, I’m always looking for one less thing to clean up.
Here’s how I made it:
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
3 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup soy sauce
3–4 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
3 tbsp white vinegar
Juice of 2 limes
1 tsp sesame oil
3 tbsp honey
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
1. Add everything to a gallon Ziploc bag with the chicken, seal it up, and mix everything around until the chicken is well coated.
2. Let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so the chicken has time to soak up all those flavors.
3. When you’re ready to cook, dump the chicken straight into the air fryer.
4. Air fry at 375°F for 18 minutes, flipping and basting halfway through. Increase temp to 400°F for another 2-3 minutes, until caramelized and the chicken reaches 165°F internally.
Save this one for the next time chicken is on the menu! 🍗
