The Tricks They Play - That panic in your voice: The "Brother's in Jail" Scam
By Karen S. Carter, [email protected]

I've written about scams that prey on greed and scams that prey on trust, but the most despicable ones prey on a parent's fear. I was discussing with coworkers recently the joy of visiting the beach. I said I think periodic beach visits should be mandatory for my mental health- the fresh air, the sound of the waves, the briny smell in the air- all of this means I leave the beach feeling infinitely more relaxed and at peace than when I arrived.
