NOTE -
Raymore Journal went out of business 1+ years ago, which paused the local news stories. The digital assets were transferred to the online support firm to offset some of the outstanding debt.

Trends for local newspapers include evolving to a Community Blog, in which students can write and cover local sports and accolades… and municipalities can submit updates from the city council. Advertising remains the primary source of revenue (retail, classifieds, job openings, obituaries, paid content).

Have you visited the Raymore Animal Shelter lately? Few people have. It appears to be in disarray and at least one animal control officer has begged the city to fix it.

When Hasenyager came in, she had to digitize everything. With no software or funding for software, she put everything on a spreadsheet. Last year, animal shelter software was acquired through donations.
