In 2024, I officially launched this business and boy oh boy has it been a learning experience! If you haven't noticed, it's been a while since I've posted...I know, I'm a social media manager who isn't managing her own social media. 🤦‍♀️

The truth is, I wanted to take a step back after really throwing myself into all of this to figure some things out. All of this to say, I'm still figuring it out, but I feel pretty good about 2025! Here's just a tidbit of what I've learned.

Ooops, I’ve been a little MIA.

The truth is, your girl is tiiiiiirred. When I started my business, I didn’t realize that there were also going to be a million things happening in my personal life, but here we are. And now that I’m on this journey, here are some things I’m learning that people don’t tell you about starting your own business.

1️⃣ You’re going to spend a lot of late nights trying to catch up on everything…especially if you have a full-time job on top of your business 🥲 so you’ll be chronically exhausted.

2️⃣ You’re going to spend so much time on your clients that you’ll put your own business needs on the back burner.

3️⃣ You’re going to feel like you’re not good enough 7/7 days of the week and you’re going to have to battle through that every day.

Anywhooo, sometimes we set unrealistic expectations for ourselves and we need to take a step back for a little while to get a handle on everything. For me, that means not posting every day…or even every week. 💁🏻‍♀️

And that’s quite alright because it’s going to take me a little while to find ~balance~.

🔥 Hot take: If your content isn't strategic and you're simply throwing it together, it doesn't matter what time of day you post it...it won't perform. 🔥

Once upon a time, the algorithm used to show us content based on the time that it was posted, but those days are unfortunately longgg gone. Now, your content is sorted largely by RELEVANCY.

So before you hit 'post,' ask yourself if your content is relevant to your audience and your strategy!
