Lion Records is Albright College’s on-campus record label, providing a true-to-life experience for all Music Industry Studies majors. This multidisciplinary organization utilizes curricular objectives to create, produce, record, and distribute music that belongs exclusively to students. Lion Records works as a companion to the Music Department at Albright College and provides experiential learning opportunities to enhance student’s understanding of the music business system.

Rap Collective – The Albright Rap Collective (ARC) is a workshop consisting of rappers, producers (beatmakers), and singers. Affiliated artists have released singles and EPs with Lion Records and other labels in the Philly area. Performances include the CITE-C Black History Month Celebration (2020), Trustee’s Weekend at the President’s house (2020), The Domino Players’ Black History Month Show (2020), Lion Records Live (2019), and the WXAC Pond Concert (2019).
Commercial Music Ensemble – Albright's Commercial Music Ensemble is a combo-based workshop for students to work on their musicianship, ensemble playing, original material, and cover arrangements. Each combo's make-up and repertoire are entirely student-driven: you play what you want with whom you want. Members are encouraged to work on their Lion Records and applied lesson/course material in these workshops. CME combos perform frequently at on-campus functions, including Lion Records Live, the WXAC Pond Concert, and campus recruiting events.
Studio Band – The Albright College Studio Band is Lion Records' "first call" instrumental ensemble, featuring a horn line, rhythm section, and several vocalists (who all sing lead and back-up). Comprised of the College's top commercial music performers, the Studio Band performs widely on and off-campus, records backing tracks for Lion Records artists, and serves as an important link between the Music Department, the record label, and the city of Reading.
