Ok, what technique was used here? Balayage or foils?

Well … kind of both. I placed foils strategically to get these stubborn hairs to cooperate and create a Balyage look but with foiling. Keeping her natural integrity as my main focus!

I’ve been experimenting with new foiling patterns and techniques and so far I’m loving the results! What do you all think?!

If you know me I’m not a huge fan of root smudging/shadowing so I have created different techniques to achieve the same look without adding color.
