12/31/2025
Today is the last day of 2025, and I wanted to take a moment to recap something I committed to this year.
At the beginning of the year, I challenged myself to try a new technique or do something different within my craft at least once a month for the entire year. The last time I attempted this, in 2024, I only made it to May before I became overwhelmed and let it go. This year, I kept going.
I did skip two months, May and December, and ended up offering vouchers instead for those months. Iβm okay with that because I still honored the commitment every month, just in a way that made sense at the time.
The birthday giveaways started as a way to share what I wanted to experiment with instead of throwing those ideas away, and as a thank you to people who had already supported me. It ended up challenging me more than I expected, in a good way.
As I start planning for 2026, Iβm deciding whether I want to continue this and, if I do, what it should look like going forward. Iβm considering expanding it beyond just birthdays and opening it up to supporters who have upcoming events, things like baby showers, anniversaries, bridal showers, or other small celebrations. If I move in that direction, entries would likely need to be submitted the month before the event.
Nothing is finalized yet. Iβm keeping it simple and realistic, so your feedback is helpful as I narrow things down.
If youβve participated, supported, or followed along this year, let me know in the comments:
β’ Would you like to see this continue in 2026?
β’ Birthday only, or open to other events?
β’ Would you prefer a set item or flexible options?
And to everyone who supported me this year, whether through an order, a referral, a kind word, or simply showing up consistently, thank you. Your support made it possible for me to experiment, grow, and keep showing up even when things didnβt look perfect. I donβt take that lightly, and I truly appreciate you. π Kristy
