ANNOUNCING THE REDHORN ARENA CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT AND GIVEAWAY

What is an Arena without a Tournament? Do you have what it takes to become the Champion of the Arena and claim the Champion’s Blade?

At the , the Redhorn Arena will be hosting the Champion’s Tournament @ 3:30 PM on May 30. The rules of the Tournament will be this:

• Contestants will fight in rounds of free-for-all matches to determine the strongest among you. Those who survive these matches will move on to the Finalist category. Fight hard, because there are only so many Finalist slots!

• Finalists will then face the truest challenge: the Gauntlet of Champions. In order to prove yourself worthy, you must defeat the reigning Champions of the Arena—The Wolf, The Bear, and The Stag. ALL Finalists will have the opportunity to prove their mettle against these fearsome foes.

• There can only be one Champion! Should multiple Finalists conquer the Gauntlet, they will then face each other in single combat to prove who is worthy of the Champion’s Title and Blade

Furthermore, the Redhorn Arena will also be hosting a Giveaway of the Luckwearer’s Blade all day until 6 PM. Come by the Arena to enter, and entry does not require participation in the Arena.

The Swords being given away, the Champion’s Blade and the Luckwearer’s Blade, are Imperial Swords.

MEET THE MARSHALS OF THE REDHORN ARENA

Even in a Fight Pit, there are rules that must be abided for a fair game. These rules are enforced by the Marshals of the Arena, who will oversee each fight to help call points and keep the game running smoothly. They may also jump in for a fight or two if you want to fight but don’t have a buddy!

Lord of the Arena Bregnor Arleman, “The Bloody Stag”
• The Crimson Stag who throws the Arena to test the strength of those at the Faire

Marshal Champion Baelor Arleman, “The Jotünnwulf”

• The giant berserker brother of Bregnor who carefully watches the fights with his greatsword on his shoulder

Marshal Champion Kieran Martyn, “The Great Bear”

• The mighty Bear who’s years of strategy and combat is offset by his cheery demeanor

Marshal Finan Martyn, “The Eagle Eye”

• The keen-eyed brother of the Bear who loves to add commentary to the skill of the contestants

The Chattanooga Renaissance Faire is in 3 DAYS! I hope to see you there on Saturday, May 30th from 10am-8pm at Coolidge Park and watch you fight in the Arena!

Happy Music Monday my friends! My apologies for missing last week, I was traveling and it slipped my mind!

Today we have The Hammer by Colm McGuinness, a fantastic artist who creates music based on different games and films. He creates fantastic tavern and shanty-style music (and plays all of the instruments used in the songs!), and this one in particular is based on Warhammer 40K and is positively epic. I personally think it’s a very good song for the Hearthguard! What do you think??

Happy Music Monday my friends!

Today we have one of my all time favorites: One Last Day, by the dwarf metal (yes, you read that right) Wind Rose.

Wind Rose is an awesome metal band who sing all about dwarves, and every track has incredible music and epic vocals. But this song in particular stands out to me as my favorite as it is a song about defiance in the face of defeat. Standing tall when doom is at hand and facing it head on, no matter what the outcome. It kindles courage in my heart, and has quickly become an “anthem” of sorts to my character Bregnor.

Definitely check out all of Wind Rose’s music, and stand proud like a dwarf in this week ahead!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the epic mothers out there! You all are amazing each and every day, and I hope everyone in your life always looks to show you this!

A special Mother’s Day wish to my own mother who is always ready to jump into the fray with me, and to my wonderful wife who is always there to love and support my fantastical hobbies (and join in on the fun sometimes herself!)

I am excited to finally announce that I will be hosting a Ye Old Fight Pit for Faire-goers to test their mettle in at Chattanooga’s first ever Renaissance Faire on May 30, 2026 ! Grab a friend, pick your [LARP] weapon, and duke it out to see who the champion is (without the risk of being maimed)!

Come by the Redhorn Arena at the Chattanooga Renaissance Faire! Challenge your friends, learn some tactics from the Arena’s moderators, and challenge yourself to become the ultimate champion! More details of fun challenges and competitions will be revealed leading up to the Faire. I hope to see you there!
