Day 15 (continued). Beartooth Pass - Montana.

Yellowstone behind us(temporarily). Wound our way past Cooke City, then made our way into the clouds—11,000 feet up and my husky a$$ could feel the thin air 😆

Snow in July!! Wind sharp and steady. Mountain goats watched us from the cliffs—calm, smug, totally unbothered.

The summit was silent, surreal. Kids cheered. I gripped the wheel and acted like the descent didn’t stress me out…down shifting to save the brakes.

The quick adventure outside of the park was well worth the extra effort🙌

Day 15. Yellowstone, heading north.

Ignore the new favorite mug from the Tetons— I searched every Yellowstone gift shop for a version not in blue, no luck👎

We’re rolling toward Mammoth Springs, Lamar Valley, and the East Gate.

Kids are holding strong, questioning if this is their new routine forever 😂. Probably helps we’ve got Yellowstone veterans in the crew—20+ visits and still not over it.

Side note - cell service for us was abysmal, so had to meet up like they did in the old days📝😂

Let’s get back on track…the weather’s moody: warm, cold, windy, calm—sometimes all in the same hour.

Still, the views keep showing up. So we keep putting in the miles to see it all!

Day 14. Yellowstone.
• Wife and I share quiet mornings.
• Kids continue to wake up one by one😅
• Showered. Finally, after 3 days - cost $11 for the family
• Hiked. Briefly.
• Wildlife spotted. Including Sequoia TRD PRO envy…should I trade in the LC250 for more room?!?! Im addicted to cars 🤦🏻‍♂️
• Wife reads us a cool Yellowstone book about frontier women - highly recommend!

Yellowstone: half nature, half theme park...

Still exploring. Surprisingly little kid drama. Still team Land Cruiser… for now😅.

Day 12 (continued). Grand Tetons.

Two moose sightings. Camp set.

Watermelon in the shade. Ravioli with chopsticks😆

Happy hour was with Park Ranger MJ - she dropped knowledge on migrating animals, and the kids actually listened. So did we.

The fire burned low. The stars showed up. Wife and I sipped on some wine and dreamed about our next adventure!!

Day 12. Grand Tetons & Jackson Hole.

Rolled through the Tetons—jagged, dramatic, untouchable.

Then we hit Jackson…where the Wild West met Wi-Fi, espresso, and fancy cowboy hats.

Kids loved it. We people-watched. Ate poké bowels and drank beer, just like real cowboys😉

Jackson felt like the edge of the modern world before stepping into the vastness of the Tetons.

Side note: only saw 2 Grenadiers the entire trip and they were all in Jackson lol - should I trade in the LC250 for one?!
