***SCAM ALERT***

The Red Lodge Police Department is advising the public of an active scam currently circulating online.

An individual identifying himself as “Lawrence” is advertising English Springer Spaniel puppies for sale. This person is using an out-of-state phone number and communicating via email, requesting $600 per puppy with a $200 deposit.

The address provided to potential buyers is an unoccupied residence currently listed for sale in Red Lodge. The puppies do not exist, and this advertisement is fraudulent.

Please do not send money or provide personal information.

If you have been contacted, have sent funds, or have additional information regarding this scam, please contact the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 406-446-1234.
