Quick Response, No Injuries: Red Lodge Shooting Results in Arrest
The Red Lodge Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the Town Pump shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3. Officers and investigators immediately began an investigation and developed investigative leads that identified a subject believed to be associated with the incident. The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene and assisted RLPD throughout the investigation.
As the investigation progressed, the United States Marshals Service – Billings and the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team were requested to assist with the ex*****on of search and arrest warrants related to the case.
At approximately 11:15 a.m. hours, the subject was taken into custody without further incident. The investigation remains active and ongoing. There were no injuries reported with the initial incident or the subsequent arrest, and there is no current threat to the community.
As a precaution, the Red Lodge Schools were asked to shelter in place until the warrant service was concluded.
The Red Lodge Police Department would like to thank all assisting agencies who assisted to bring a safe resolve and arrest for this incident. Red Lodge Fire-Rescue was also on EMS standby while the warrant service took place.
