Not only was this the second Jones wedding in Kerens this year that I've done, no relation, but doing weddings out here in East Texas area are great!

JONES WEDDING.
PART 1 OF 3.
Wow!!! What a mind blowing whirlwind of a weekend!!
A year ago I received a call from CJ wanting to book a consultation for their wedding. We met at the jalapeno Lemon pepper tree restaurant. Just as I was telling them of services we offered and talking about my amazing team, Margie walks by! How awesome was it that they were able to meet her in that moment and wanting to book her desserts as well!
They booked the Stockton Hall in Kerens, TX, with the ceremony to be held in the veterans memorial park across the street. Planning went off without a hitch! They made their centerpieces and decor right away!!! They also offered one of their cabin rentals to us at Richland chambers lake for the wedding weekend and yes I was all over that opportunity! CJ is a truck driver so alot of trading phone calls and a couple of meetings were when CJ wasn't on the road. But regardless we managed to get everything lined up for this weekend. They had so much loving help from their family and friends with decorating and set up, but we all had a part to play in getting it all done. To me, it's one thing setting up the reception hall, decorating tables and all but it's another to see the ceremony site come together as it did. With everything Amanda ever told me about her vision of this wedding day, it was just breathtaking to see it all come together just as I pictured she said it would be. I just loved every bit of it.
So the ceremony was great! Pure perfection! Amanda walked down the aisle in her open back, tassle and lace, boho gown to Stevie Nick's Leather and Lace played on a record player. CJ stood there with his absolute perfect haircut waiting for her to arrive. This moment in time was so precious y'all, you really truly have to be there kind of thing. The funny moment was when CJ grabbed a mini stool ladder to climb on to give Amanda her kiss the bride moment! LOL
As we moved into the reception, fruititas with tajin, Margie's banana pudding, chips and salsa and margaritas were waiting for everyone! Once we announced the couples intro, they moved into their photo game to be sure to get a pic with everyone! During their first dance, I interrupted the song with an announcement and played the Waylon Jennings version of Amanda. This is the very song she is named after and since her father is no longer with us, CJ wanted her to have a moment for her dad's remembrance as well as still give her that father daughter dance moment, as CJ was willing to step in for her dad to that song. It was so sweet and so endearing! Of course the bride was crying, but so we're we all! There were so many special moments and speeches in this wedding, you have no idea!
Mexican food was catered, an Amarillo cake was the groom's cake, inspired by the movie Steel Magnolias.
I officiated, & DJ'd, Carrie ran photobooth, Margie made desserts, and Dakota bartended. Everything went perfect despite a few minor little mishaps. But no wedding is ever 100% perfect. But I'd still say this wedding was though. I'm almost left to head back to the cabin when CJ stopped me and said hey do you mind coming upstairs and signing the marriage license? 🤣 Boy I almost forgot that one! We went back to the cabins, hung out with the family, got some rest and enjoyed our time there before heading home.
I was very honored to be a part of this event and I know my team was as well.
