Played this show in Sweden for 40,000 people with Rickey Medlocke awhile back at a festival with Deep Purple, Zack Wylde, Joe Satriani, Leslie West & more...

Sharing this Post I found showing how Rickey & I would play just the acoustics for a few songs, in the middle of full house Rock Shows, just wailing on the guitars. We also did this, in every city's & town's "Drive Time" (early mornings while the other guys slept!) radio shows, that we'd travel through in the states, including Anchorage!

Was nice to do a little of this on my own at the Sheldon Theatre yesterday, in between teaching and recording sessions at MWM at Anderson Center, and it's also been nice to work with beautiful people in this area such as Connie Dan, Greg Taylor, Grace Horn, Brooke Elizabeth, Anna Filkins, Ava Brookshaw, Alex & Luke Husfloen, Wanda & Frank Martinez & more doing that Acoustic thing locally.

More to do.

Music Developed & Performed by "Mark Woerpel Music", written with Joe Bigalke & Rick Ambergury, featuring Native American Flute, inspired by & submitted to the documentary "A BEAUTIFUL PLACE" produced by Sue Vicory & Ginny Campbell, which premired in Albuquerque Saturday March 21, navigating Loss, while paying homage to the victoms of the crash of TWA flight 260 in 1955 over the Sandia Mountains. (The Native American Flute performance from this piece is used in the documentary).
An example of Joe using Collaboration and Networking to continue his exploration & experiences in Music, while raising awareness for Autism active in our communities.

Amazing to have a "Studio Neighbor" like Artist Diane McDonald!
We share this side of the "Shed" at the historical Anderson Center in Red Wing, MN, with my MWM Music Education & Recording Studio, and Diane's Painting Studio, along with the addition, later this month, of a Poetry Library, "The Word & Artbooks Collective" that will include books of local Poets, Artists & Songwriters in this space also. Halo Keys also holds Piano Studies out of the MWM space.
My thoughts are always in the Musical process, so amazing to be able watch the process and progress of painting by Brush Strokes. Just Beautiful.
So, the stress level is low here, which also includes a sitting area, with revolving Art from local artists on the walls.
More news on the Poetry Library soon that includes support from The Artist Sanctuary.

(Also fun fact, I was one of the 4 carpenters that did the "Shed" remodel, from bare cement and brick walls, around 2016 with Ryan Kutschied & Rivertown Construction.
So...even more special to be in this space)

"On Little Wings" (available now on all Download & Streaming services) is a collection of Traditional & Original Lullabyes, written & recorded in 1999 (on actual tape back then!!) performing Native American Flutes, hand carved by Wally Blanc, along with Guitar, Guitar Synth, Keys & Vocals (Jamie Jess & myself). Thanks also to the Chris Martinez family for use of their house to record in, & their family piano on "Rock A Bye Baby"!
This was in the years after touring with Rickey Medlocke for the Blackfoot music, and recording more Acoustic Guitar & Instrumental Music.
My sister Kristine was just starting her family, and asked about the idea of doing a Lullaby collection...so then dedicated this to my niece Lauren & nephew Cameron (who was a newborn at the time).
This was originally published through my family's business of Noc Bay Trading Company, as we began releasing projects back then, with my Dad's direction, of recording regional Pow Wow Drums, providing fair & respectful publishing & pay practices to the Drums and their families.
While not claiming to represent, or be of Native decent, I was raised with my family participating in many years of Pow Wows, and was taught the drumming & singing traditions by Mouz Pamp (of a Pow Wow drum group that actually opened up for the Eagles once in Detroit!) in which early proceeds were contributed in his name to a Native American scholarship fund.
My Flute playing has been featured in PBS specials such as the "Ojibwa Nation" working with Peter Buffet producing (music supervisor of the movie "Dances With Wolves") to current releases through "In The Goove Music" for succesful TV publishing, & local collaboration with the Twin Cities Ballet featured yearly in their production of "A Minnesota Nutcracker".

These are from the sounds & melodies of those moments.
More to come...

Thankful for continued work with Joe Bigalke music ideas, produced and performed through MWM at Anderson Center in Red Wing, turning into final products through Rock the Cause with beautiful messages, and for the causes of Autism Awareness & Su***de Prevention.
Child Of God, dedicated in memory of Joe's Dad, is a song about Baptism & Faith.
Written by Joe & Jaime Floyd, Joe's mentor of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), along with Mark Woerpel.
Amazing to have Anna Filkins sing on this, a former student of mine, and Very Fun to sing with her on the Bridge of this song. I think she was around 12 when I started working with her, now in her 20's singing Beautiffully and being a continued part of these projects!!
Also introducing Kirsten Ford of Red Wing on Cello throughout!
The song, along with 4 previous releases in Joe Bigalke's catalog, is available on all download and streaming services.
Artwork by Lauren Hovland.
Video (based off of the Artwork designed for this project by Lauren Hovland) created by Rock The Cause Records.

This Thursday!, Dec 4, at the Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing, I am grateful to be doing a rare performance on the Native American Flute (& a little Guitar) from 6:00-6:50... before the Twin Cities Ballet beautiful Minnesota version of the Nutcracker Suite, that includes a version of the "Mirliton Dance", with Native American Flute, performed and recorded by myself, at MWM located at the Anderson Center.
The fact that I play & record the Native American Flute is a long family story, so feel free to ask me about it anytime...
The instrumental guitar version of Little Drummer Boy, I will be playing, I actually arranged when I was about 15 and performed for many years on Christmas Eve at my hometown Church!
(Also possible local guest performers for this event).

Thankful to the Republican Eagle for promoting this story. (the story is correct... the headline mistakenly says "Anderson Center", it will be at the Sheldon Theater in downtown Red Wing)

A project & performance Directed by my Brother Jeff (appears in vid), filmed and edited by my Brother Craig, music recorded & performed by myself at MWM, located at Anderson Center, for the 50th Anniversary of the Edmond Fitzgerald event, presented by Players De Noc in Escanaba MI, for a sold out show and a 2nd added, on Nov 9&10. Was thankful to be a part of this, performing live, and being on the stage with the incredible performers of Players De Noc, along with stage props built by my Sister Kris Hovland.
(Song "Listen, Adversary" by Prudence Johnson, written for the album "Gales Of November" for the drama "Ten November")
The "Callaway", docked on the shores in Escanaba MI, is close in design as the Edmond Fitzgerald.

Players De Noc community theater performed 2 sold out nights of Seven Dietz's amazing play - Ten November - marking the 50th anniversary of the sinking of th...

Sharing this story of Leanne Overlander's work in Music, featuring this special new release of "What Would Mary Say".

Leanne is continuing her passion for exploring & creating in songwriting, while working in the idea of collaboration, through National songwriting programs, and locally currently through MWM, and even her family involved!

This is her first release with her singing lead vocal and backgrounds, along with her daughter Londyn on backing vocals and Cello. Her husband Don created the video work (his 1st time in trying this process!) and visual concepts with her.

The recording is developed through sessions at MWM, located at the Anderson Center, and gratefully released through Rock the Cause Records out of St.Paul distributed by Sony/Orchard. Thank you Scott for your continued work & faith in Music. A portion of sales is tied to charities picked by Leanne.

A beautiful start to the Holiday season...
