Getting things more setup!!! Thankful for all that makes this Creative Space possible, current & past clients of MWM Music Studies, Songwriting & Recording Artists, all at the incredible supportive artist community of the Anderson Center at Tower View.
This circle of Support & Inspiration for MWM, includes the Red Wing Arts, Honoring Dakota, Twin Cities Ballett, Rock the Cause, Tree Strings, Mystic Guitars, Sheldon Theatre of Performing Arts, Big Turn Music Fest & Hobgoblin Music.
Other creative outlets for MWM include production at Sievers Creative (Red Wing), In The Groove Music (Minneapolis/Los Angeles) and Performing Live, Writing & Recording with Them Pesky Kids & the Rickey Medlocke Band with Rickey Medlocke of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot.
Along with opening up more time slots for Music Study sessions, I will be working on scheduling a possible Tuesday evening time slot for an "MWM Music Cafe" Songwriters Circle, built around the idea of any song writer either presenting or performing a song with discussion of why and what their writing processes are. To share ideas & possible collaboration opportunities.

On this Holiday, Thankful for the incredible spot to Create & Share the Spirit of Music here at the Anderson Center Red Wing MN.
All made possible by all the Past & Present clients & families that were & are, a part the never ending exploration of Personal Music Performance and Creation.
Exciting update on the song "No Matter Where You Are" produced at MWM, written by Joe Bigalke & Jaime Floyd, performed by MW & sung by Brooke Elizabeth with Lauren Hovland providing the Artwork, that it's in rotation at Christian Mix 106 Nashville, and Angel 95 Topeka resulting from the hard work at Rock the Cause records/Sony/Orchard.
Also want to thank the O'Reilly family for including us & all the MWM performers at this year's "Breakfast On The Farm". An incredible event with over 2000 attending.
Above all, our thoughts, prayers & support are in our hearts, for long-time clients and dear friends, Beth & Mike Jones. Praying to hear that Lap Steel & 4 String Guitar playing Beautifful Music again...

Love being Part of this Creative Community tied in with Red Wing Arts and the Red Wing Area Studio Tour.
Will be Full Time, starting August 1, working out of my MWM Music Cafe Studio, located at the Anderson Center at Tower View, so this will be a nice Kick Off!
This event in the past, is also what led me to working with the Twin Cities Ballet, developing music for their Minnesota version of the Nutcracker Suite, which will also be presented at the Sheldon Theatre of Performing Arts this December!!! A great way of meeting other creatives...

Hey everyone, my very first song will be releasing tomorrow! I have been working with a
to produce this song and toget it out there.

Rock the Cause supports charities, The Alzheimer's Association in this case.

A bit of the story behind this song. It was born out of the Summer 2022 .co Mentorship where we had an an exercise using “space”. I decided to use Psalm 20 as inspiration.

My songwriter personality is heavy on the lyric side so when it came to the melody, I just sat at my piano and asked God to give me the melody. And He delivered! I took that melody to my Guitar instructor, Mark, because I didn’t even know what key or which chords I had used (G Mixolydian by the way)😄. He helped me take it from that simple melody and arranged it out to what is is today.

I see that God was present in this song at every level. He led me to the people to make it happen - the writing worship community and Matt Crosson was definitely a God thing.

Mark taught me, and still is teaching me, recording and production. Mark also knew a drummer who gave us the drum tracks. From my Writing Worship connections - knocked the vocals out of the park. Then I was introduced to Scott at Rock the Cause, again through my association with Mark, who is helping me distribute this song.

I couldn't have done this without my family and friends as well, who supported me all along the way.

All that to say, the day is finally here where this song will get out to those God has had planned it to go to all along.

At MWM we encourage Songwriting & Music Creation early in the music studies. Piano instructor Heidi Heimer worked with young Aleaha (Megumi) to create music inspired by Aleahs's pick of "Nature's Rage".
Aleaha then recorded (in one take) the piano piece with Mark Woerpel in the studio at MWM, and added a few extra sounds as she thought needed, Synth, Cello...her parents sitting in the waiting area said it sounded like music from a movie.
Then she picked a photo (she said she was thinking of Forest Fires) for the release resulting in the YouTube Presentation.
An example of creating, and managing a project through to a public release, and knowing that they can do this themselves.

"No Matter Where You Are" the 4th (Beautiful) song from the Joe Bigalke release on Rock the Cause Records through Sony/Orchard is now available everywhere!!!
Joe was recognized also on this day, for his continued success in Music, by the Nashville Songwriters Association International at this year's award ceremony in Nashville with Jaime Floyd (co-writer) beautifully performing the song live, at the event! (Quite a few major hit songwriters also performed their songs and told stories of the process, so amazing that Joe's project was included)
