What’s on my mind…. So, given the history of slavery:
One of the tormenting aspects of slavery was to make our ancestors forget their cultures and spirituality. They even went as far as giving our ancestors European names to further disconnect us from our African culture. They eventually realized it is best to tame a slave via their historical Roman ancestral ways - make the slaves believe in their own religion… Slaves did not readily accept to the European Christian beliefs, so this had to be done via force - r**e, humiliation, threatening of death, and other forms of inhumane acts against slaves and their loved ones. It took several generations - where the younger slaves no longer had knowledge of who they are and their history or culture or traditions; those were the ones who took to Christianity more easily.
So if we, as Black People, are to celebrate Juneteenth, why are we doing so as Christians????
Our ancestors would be extremely disappointed in us for the sole fact we are parading around as Christians when they had to fight and die to hold on to their own culture - renouncing Christianity was a death sentence and even torture for them.
So, why are we even celebrating a holiday if we do not know the depths of which we are doing so???
If you want to know where your belief comes from, read on - then you will see why celebrating Juneteenth as a Christian is insulting and degrading to your enslaved Ancestors.
Greeks and Romans introduced Racism to create an idea of various races of humanity by skin pigmentation. They came up with the idea of categorizing humanity, promoting separatism and supremacy, in order to oppress targeted groups; by which they achieved control and were able to eradicate any other cultures of those who did not look like them or were not of their own nation.
That said, one of the biggest crimes against African people was not just enslavement, but stripping our ancestors of their culture and spirituality. With the aid of African knowledge and assistance, the Romans created a new belief system with the agenda to overtake all other spiritual traditions of their conquered territories. They knew spirituality and culture were key to true power - they realized that the lands they conquered were still not in their full control; they were actually losing control over their own nation due to the masses of Roman women and their growing worship of the Kemetic / African deity Ma’at.
Ma’at, known by the Greeks as ISIS, is a female African Deity that embodies the characteristics of truth, cosmic balance, and justice - she is depicted kneeling and her arms spread with wings that span across the bottom of her arms. Because of what she stood for and looked like, this is the image that the Romans used for what they know of as Angels, today.
Another image “borrowed” from Kemet / Africa (Ancient Egypt) is the Aten or “sun-disk” found drawings and hieroglyphs over the head of the Kemetic Sun Deity named RA. This symbol was taken and used by the Romans in th e images of heavenly bodies - this is what we see around the heads of Christian Angels and Jesus, now called the HALO.
Yet, one of the most important plagiarized ideas the Romans committed is the immaculate birth of a Deity. This is an age old story told hundreds or even thousands of times before Christianity even came about. The original being the rebirth of the Kemetic / African (ancient Egypt) deity, Heru / Horus. In short, Heru was the first deity in history to be born of a virgin, had twelve disciples, walked on water, delivered a 'sermon on the mount', performed mircles, was executed beside two thieves, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.
Even the term “Hour” came from the name Heru/Horus: He had 12 disciples which represents 12 notches on a sun-disk, now known as the clock or watch. Also, 12 months which represents the entire revolution (or circle) around the sun. The entire idea of today’s spiritual beliefs and even time itself was all plagerized ideas from AFRICAN NATIVES.
Christianity is simply a plagiarised mockery of our ancestral spirituality and culture.
