Alumni Update, Timea Horvath

We are proud to highlight the journey of Timea Horvath, a
Simpson University student whose internship at KRCR led
directly to a full-time role after graduation.

Her experience shows how real-world training can open doors
and set students up for long-term success. "As an intern I had the chance to shadow producers, reporters, and production assistants. Eventually, I was able to pitch my own stories, go out in the field, interview people and turn in stories I created from start to finish.

It was particularly interesting to see the topics I learned in class
at Simpson be applicable in the news world. This experience has truly been a blessing and it gave me lessons I will remember for the rest of my life."

Check out the fun multiplicity photos by the digital photography students from our workshop on composite photos last week.

Make sure to see the photo class exhibit this week on Wednesday, in the Student Union. Artist panel from 9:10 - 10:10 AM, the exhibit will be open from 8 AM - 2 PM.

This evening Simpson University students had the opportunity to train on set with the Shasta Media Coalition and Sundial Film Festival Directors at KIXE PBS in Redding to learn professional lighting, sound, production, and camera operation techniques.
