UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I am posting this update. Lyle Meredith recently had a stroke causing him to be unable to work all of last week. He has been released from the hospital and is home recovering now.
I am deeply disappointed at what happened today. Frank Hazen (Owner of the carpet store) reported to the Redmond Police that my father Lyle took a $1300 cash deposit and failed to deposit those funds into the company’s account purposely. I find it to be absolutely heart breaking that after all these years, all these hours, my 82 year old father has worked to make this business succcessful, Frank would do such a thing. Anyone who knows my dad, knows that memory loss is something he argues with everyday. Anyone who has seen his desk knows that money could very well be under one of a hundred other pieces of paper or have simply been taken by someone else.
I pray for a full recovery for my father and for Frank to examine his business practices, or lack there of, and retract this hateful allegation.
