Yes, I co-founded a dog rescue. Yes, I have a rescue dog. Yes, I've adopted rescue dogs. Yes, I've adopted and fostered special needs rescue dogs. Yes, I've fostered many, many dogs. And yes, I got a puppy that was not a rescue. And that's okay too.
Of the tens or hundreds of thousands of puppy photos I've seen in my life, two of them have triggered a voice within me that screamed, "THAT'S YOUR DOG," immediately. We all know that my Michael is my best friend in the world, so I couldn't ignore that voice when I heard it again a couple weeks ago when this pup came across my feed.
The voice I randomly heard that told me to make the call to who turned out to be my ex husband's mistress is the same voice that told me that Mike was meant to be my dog and the same voice that told me the same thing about this sweet boy.
Meet Phil π₯° My sweet, silly, snuggler who has proven to be such a well-behaved, smart, playful, friendly, loving boy.
I've been wanting to share Phil with you since I picked him up a couple weeks ago, but honestly, I've been dreading the hate comments from people who are extremely die-hard rescue-only people. I never worry about comments or even pay attention to them, but for some reason, I've been anxious about these. I think it's because rescuing is incredibly important to me and I hate to think of being perceived as a hypocrite in this sense.
BUT, this is a place for smiles and laughs and Phil definitely provides that, especially in combination with his 3 furry brothers, so sharing him with you all needed to be done so I can spread the laughs on to you π₯°
I won't bombard you with Phillip posts, but just know they are coming here and there π
