We are so excited for Pope Leo XIV! We had the privilege of meeting him in Chiclayo, Peru on July 16,2019. He was excited to hear about our mission work but he teased us for being Packer’s fans. Yes he is a bears fan.
Let us all join together to pray for Pope Leo XIV!!

Yesterday marked our tenth anniversary as missionaries in Peru for the Prelatura de Moyobamba. We have been so blessed to serve the Lord!
We have been busy at work. The Peruvian school year ended December 20th. On January 6 we started our summer school program. The children are so excited to spend their mornings with us. We working hard at letter recognition with the younger children and reading with the older children. The children struggle a lot with reading and writing. We are going back to the basics.

We NEED a chapel. Our lunch room is where we currently host mass and services. We can no longer fit inside. Many people stand along the inside walls and then we have people congregated outside near the windows and doors to participate. This is a GREAT problem to have but it is time for a real chapel!

What a blessed Christmas Eve! Padre Witmer came to say mass. We had nine baptisms, eight first communions and two confirmations. After mass the children from our after school program put on a living nativity. Ruth made all of the costumes. We then served lunch and distributed the gifts to each of the children. It was a very busy but beautiful day! We are exhausted but so blessed!

This is what the town looked like on Thursday and Friday when we had a heavy rainstorm.

We are on disaster relief today. We are bringing clothes, food and hygiene items to the victims of the flood.

Father came up for mass today even though it has been raining for two days. Ruth and Leo had to help push the vehicle up the muddy roads so father could make it home for another mass. Look at their faces. So much joy!!!

The mission goes on. Feeding the children never ends. it is such an important part of their days. The parents come on Sundays for church and catechism classes. We have had some funky weather but thankfully we haven't had too many repairs.
We are still need of monthly donors to sponsor lunch. It is really important to feed these children. They do not receive lunch at school and they have to walk home in the heat of the day over the mountain two hours. For many of the children this is the only meal that they receive during the day. The children are allowed to have seconds and thirds. We do not turn away a hungry child. We receive rice and beans from the state but we need to purchase the other items to ensure they have a well balanced meal since many of the children are malnourished.

What a busy week! We feed 52 children daily. We also work hard tending to the farm. The food we grow goes to feed the 52 children and also children in five other soup kitchens.
We could use your help feeding the children! We could use your help with vehicle repairs! We can’t do this without you!!!
We had a youth retreat this weekend! The youth group from Caspizapa came up to have an experience in the mission. We travelled to Alto Andino. This is one of the communities of Cuñumbuque. It was a beautiful weekend!

We feed fifty-two children daily in our program. We also feed a few elderly. This program has had a huge impact on the children. After lunch we tutor the children. Many are behind in reading, writing and math.

Servants of the Good Help are lay catholic missionaries committed into living the message of the Queen of Heaven given to Adele Brise.
We actively seek God's little ones throughout the wild countrysides of the world to teach them what they need for salvation through the Good News of Jesus Christ and how they are to approach the sacraments while creating life long relationships with Jesus.
We believe in the healing power of intercessory prayer. We use this powerful form of prayer throughout all our ministries to call upon God to restore mind, body and soul.
We also offer up prayer and penance by calling on Jesus' Divine Mercy for the conversion of sinners.
We choose to live our lives in radical poverty so we can unite our sufferings with Christ for the conversion of lost souls.
Our Guiding Principles:
-Faithful to the Magisterium and the Catechism of the Catholic Church
-United to the Bishops
-Under the protective intercession of Our Lady of Good Help
