Anthony spent yesterday with the bees. He inspected the hives and we have honey! Thankfully we don’t have to worry about winter so we are able to harvest it. FYI- we are in our winter here and the bees are flourishing. We had an empty hive and last week he found that it is now full of new bees. This is so exciting!!
Tune to Channel 5 News at 12:40pm tomorrow for Taylor’s interview with Millaine Wells. We are so excited for this opportunity!

Last night I led a memorial service for the one year anniversary of the death of a grandmother. Her family attends church weekly with us and the grandchildren attend Mary’s Little Champions and they are also preparing for baptism.
After the service we always offer a snack. This is the custom to sit together and share a small meal together on such anniversaries. Usually we serve crackers and soda. As you can see from the photo, the crackers are dunked into the soda before eating. I still can’t make myself eat them this way but our children do.
An interesting fact is that saltine crackers are called soda crackers in Peru. I find this funny since they usually dunk the crackers in soda.

We spent last week visiting the sick, the elderly, widows and single mothers. We were able to give each house a bag of food supplies. Each visit was very blessed!

Happy Feast of the Most Precious Body and Blood of Jesus! We love to celebrate Corpus Christi!
Spanish tradition is to create beautiful images of the Holy Eucharist on the ground using natural materials. Today we used flour, oranges, ashes, beans, wood shavings and flowers to draw out our image. All of the materials can be eaten by animals when the feast day is complete.
Our monkey and dogs were eating the flour as we were spreading it out. Sweetie, our monkey, ended up having a white beard on her face. She also tried to steal all of the flower petals we were using. It was hard to keep her away.
After the service Sweetie helped herself to the flower petals. Our cows enjoyed eating the oranges.
Please celebrate this Holy Day in a special way today!

We are keeping busy. We continue to feed the children Monday through Friday. We also throw one big birthday celebration each month. The kids especially love this day because that means special cupcakes made by Katie and no classes!
We have also had a few special remembrance Liturgy of the Word Services for deceased relatives this month. After the service we offer snacks and fellowship for everyone in attendance.
We had our yearly inspection of the soup kitchen. Of course it rained leading up to the day which then required the inspectors to walk through the mid to get to us. It was a good experience for them because we have the only soup kitchen this far outside of the cities. They had the opportunity to experience first hand how the children live daily. It was an eye opener for them! We received high marks on our inspection!
We also have two visitors from Texas this month to help with the mission. They are a pleasure to have with is again!
Please continue to pray for our family and the people we serve!

We are so excited for Pope Leo XIV! We had the privilege of meeting him in Chiclayo, Peru on July 16,2019. He was excited to hear about our mission work but he teased us for being Packer’s fans. Yes he is a bears fan.
Let us all join together to pray for Pope Leo XIV!!

Yesterday marked our tenth anniversary as missionaries in Peru for the Prelatura de Moyobamba. We have been so blessed to serve the Lord!
We have been busy at work. The Peruvian school year ended December 20th. On January 6 we started our summer school program. The children are so excited to spend their mornings with us. We working hard at letter recognition with the younger children and reading with the older children. The children struggle a lot with reading and writing. We are going back to the basics.

Servants of the Good Help are lay catholic missionaries committed into living the message of the Queen of Heaven given to Adele Brise.
We actively seek God's little ones throughout the wild countrysides of the world to teach them what they need for salvation through the Good News of Jesus Christ and how they are to approach the sacraments while creating life long relationships with Jesus.
We believe in the healing power of intercessory prayer. We use this powerful form of prayer throughout all our ministries to call upon God to restore mind, body and soul.
We also offer up prayer and penance by calling on Jesus' Divine Mercy for the conversion of sinners.
We choose to live our lives in radical poverty so we can unite our sufferings with Christ for the conversion of lost souls.
Our Guiding Principles:
-Faithful to the Magisterium and the Catechism of the Catholic Church
-United to the Bishops
-Under the protective intercession of Our Lady of Good Help
