Someone once asked me, what’s the best way to study dialogue? My answer: eavesdropping in public.

It’s pure character research. Listening to other people’s conversations and observing their mannerisms and social awkwardness. Even one-sided phone conversations spark creativity. Some people just don’t care what they say or who hears.

Haven't been on in a while… but I'm looking forward to some upcoming events!

I'll be at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on August 23, from 11am-1pm. I'll be signing copies of Still Life in Blood and Still Life in Ice.

I'll be at the Rehoboth Beach Farmers' Market in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on September 15 from 10am-noon, selling copies of both books.

I'll be at Barnes & Noble in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on September 20 (time TBD), selling copies of both books.

I'll also be at Delaware Seafood Festival at Schellville on September 19, from 11am until 5pm, selling copies of my books and all Byzantium Sky Press authors' books!

Did I change the entire opening scene/plot for Still Life in Water after seeing the width and height and guard rails of the William V. Roth Jr. Bridge over the C&D Canal in person?

Yes, I did.

Did I probably also land myself on a government watch list after standing under the William V. Roth Jr. Bridge (owned/maintained by the U.S. gov’t with video surveillance), after photographing and discussing with my friend how best to destroy said bridge for the book?

Also, yes. 😂🫣

Found out that Russo by the Sea, an Italian market just down from Barnes & Noble will be providing the bread for our Olive Oil tasting.

If you haven't tried their food, you should! Amazing deli sandwiches and pizza.

I'm so looking forward to this event and I hope to see a bunch of familiar faces on the 17th!

So I just created a pin on Pinterest with this video and I just noticed how ice-cold my hand looks in the last shot.

Am I grateful summer is on the way? Yes. But do I miss the snow? Yes… and not only for the fact it helped me finish Still Life in Ice!
