Reno Chamber Orchestra Names New Executive Director
The Reno Chamber Orchestra Board is excited to announce the appointment of Mason Duplissie as its new Executive Director, effective July 1, 2026. Duplissie will succeed Amy Heald, who will step down in June 2026.
Mason Duplissie brings a wealth of experience as both an arts administrator and musician. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Santa Clara Chorale and the Director of Artistic Operations for the 23rd Army Band, where he led a team of over 40 direct reports and oversaw the logistical ex*****on of 117 performances annually.
Mason holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Maine and a Master of Music degree from Shenandoah Conservatory. His career has taken him across six countries on three continents as both an educator and performing musician. He is currently completing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Utah.
“The Board of Directors is confident that Mason's vision, leadership, and passion for the arts will help guide the Reno Chamber Orchestra into an exciting new chapter.” Eric Lovejoy Board President continues, saying, “We look forward to welcoming him as we begin our 52nd season and continue our tradition of enriching Northern Nevada through exceptional musical performances and educational outreach.”
In this role, Mason Duplissie will oversee the daily operations of the Reno Chamber Orchestra, as well as strategic planning. The Board and Search Committee conducted an extensive search to find a leader who will drive growth and has the passion required to support the Reno Chamber Orchestra's commitment to providing pathways to bring classical music to our community.
"I am grateful for the trust that the staff, musicians, and board have placed in me as I step into the Executive Director role for the Reno Chamber Orchestra,” said Duplissie. “I'm excited to continue supporting the Nevada Chamber Music Festival and the RCO in providing quality, intimate musical experiences to audiences across the region."
