Evacuation orders have been issued for the following area (map in image downloaded as of 3:50 pm PST off Barron Way in South Reno. This is the area to the south of McCarran and east of Longley Lane. Multiple apparatus are on scene with one fire aircraft fighting from the sky.
Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
South Valley's Library is the evacuation center that has been established.

IF you're heading to Levi's Stadium for this weekend's festivities, be on the lookout.

Early this morning, Santa Clara dispatch received several community calls about “two strange individuals headbanging alone in the Levi's Stadium parking lot.” Units responded quickly.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individuals in question, who identified themselves only as Beavis and Butt-Head. They stated they were “pre gaming for Metallica” and had arrived “like 12 hours early because this concert’s gonna melt faces.”

Officers confirmed no laws were broken and both subjects posed no threat, though a few nearby seagulls seemed thoroughly unimpressed. They were advised to keep rocking and officers cleared the scene shortly after.

Officer on Scene Report:

“They identified themselves as ‘Beavis’ and ‘uhhh… Butt-Head.’ Said they were here to ‘score nachos and unleash unstoppable metal vibes.’ We observed no criminal activity, just a lot of air guitar.”
