Over the , our 's footprint changed. The Hawk Fire started shortly after 11am on Saturday and continues to burn with over 15,000+ acres consumed by the fire.

If you're able to attend tonight's meeting at 7p, please attend.

Join us for a Community Meeting at the California Building in Idlewild Park.

We’ll be livestreaming the meeting, here on the Hawk Fire page and our Public Information Officers will be monitoring and answering questions in the comments throughout the event.

Hawk Fire UPDATE | Evacuations and Evacuation Warnings in Effect

EVACUATE NOW – GO NOW
New evacuations are in effect north and northwest of Somersett and north of Verdi. While the majority of the evacuation area is unpopulated, residents near the immediate area should remain alert and prepared, as conditions can change rapidly.

EVACUATION WARNING – GET SET
Evacuation warnings are now in effect on the west side of US 395 for Golden Valley, Lemmon Valley, and Stead.

For the most current evacuation zones, road closures, and incident updates, please monitor the Perimeter Map:

Please use caution in and around the area, remain alert for changing conditions, and be aware of emergency vehicles and personnel responding to the incident.
