tions, a dramatic pregnancy, and then facing a BRCA1 mutation leading to preventative surgeries while raising two young toddlers. Through it all, plants became my unexpected lifeline. Cheaper and more healing than traditional routes, nurturing them gave me purpose, a sense of control, and a tangible reminder that even after the toughest times, growth is always possible. That's why I created Thriving Sprouts: to share this healing power with other women, especially moms and those facing the unique challenges of cancer as previvors and survivors. At Thriving Sprouts, you'll find more than just houseplant gardening workshops. We offer a chance to connect with a supportive community of women who understand the journey. Our curated Boutique features hand-picked items to bring joy and beauty into your life. Our Giving Garden provides essential goods to those in our community who need a little extra support. And for those wanting deeper plant knowledge and connection with other moms or a networking group dedicated to mompreneurs who are experimenting with a new plant and their private after-care community groups, offer ongoing guidance and a space to share experiences or hilarious fails. My 'why' is simple: to create a safe and nurturing space where we can dig in the dirt, grow together, and remind each other that we're all rooting for each other. I'm ditching the perfection and focusing on consistency - I've decided I'm just going to show up however it looks and whenever it happens. I'm going to stop stressing about what I might not be doing right on social media, who I haven't told what, who I haven't gotten a chance to respond back to yet and I'm gonna show up as myself, using instagram as my own personal diary and whoever wants to follow along will. I'm so tired of stressing over what someone says is the right thing to do. So here's to being authentic and sharing whatever the hell we want!

πŸ€” What's a big WHY and a little why?
πŸ‘‰πŸ» A BIG WHY is your entire life's purpose, the driving force or core values. It's the WHY that motivates you to get out of bed and actively pursue your goals and helps to find your purpose. The bigger picture. The root cause to a problem.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Little why is the immediate reasons we do things like, why are you studying for an exam or promotion today? (get good grades, to learn new material, please professors, parents or boss, etc). It's helpful for short term goals but can distract from the bigger picture. The symptom or explanation of the problem.

Take time today and write down your WHYS. Remember to keep them visible as a consent reminder.

Take a moment to think about what your life might look like with self-discipline?

For the next few weeks, in the spirit of valentine's day, the best LOVE we can show ourselves is ACCOMPLISHING DREAMS and HAPPINESS by doing the things we wish someone else could do for us. We're going to learn how to flip the current narrative into one that ALIGNS with your lifestyle and MOTIVATION that can help get you closer to the finish line.

What's does SELF-DISCIPLINE get you? good question!
For me personally:
* it made me accept the vulnerability needed to fully embrace this concept
* it got me through hormone treatments and got me to an amazing loving partner and 2 gorgeous kids who are unbelievably healthy and happy!
* it brought me a healthier way of thinking and being
* gave me higher self-reliance and self-esteem
* it reduced stress and anxiety
* improved mental, physical and emotional well-being
* improved boundaries
* greater self-awareness
* better emotional control
* increased my adaptability
* it brought energy, motivation, courage, stubbornness from backing down from the healthier side, and more to help me work with therapist's and Dr's and medical professionals!
And so much more....

Here is this week's, update. We've been sick what seems like months, and I haven't been able to exercise, do laundry or finish dishes all in one day....

πŸ† The win for this week is that I didn't let my body rule my mind and decide what were doing.... I decided I'm still going to eat right, even if I can't exercise like I was, and I'm still losing. πŸ₯‡

There are many reasons as to WHY I'm losing weight, but I want to hear from you.

Does not require you to change.

Being in an environment you want to be in.

Feeling of satisfaction, gratitude and wellbeing.

Fitting in:

Being accepted for being like others / others expectations.

Being somewhere where your authentic self isn’t valued.

Okay, so every Monday I'm going to post my πŸ’ͺ🏻 weight-loss data. It's my check-in with myself and also to help me stay accountable for my actions or.... Lack of said action. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
If there are any others that would enjoy a weight-loss partner and would like support, comment below your goals, needs or desires AND how I can help. Remember, we're doing this stuff alone anyway, so might as well take advantage of the support around us, right?!

What are my weight related - health goals for the year.
#1. New year, New me.... In a, well, not so stereotypical way. I was pregnant two years BACK-TO-BACK and my body hated it.... Understandably. But this year is my turn.... I'm fixing the damage the pregnancy's did (body parts, teeth, emotions, physical appearance, mental health and much much more). One thing at a time!!
#2. I want to lose πŸ’― lbs by Bear's 1st birthday. 100lbs in one year. I have 47 more days (April 1st, 2023) and about 25 more lbs to go.
#3. After the weight loss, my focus will turn to toning my body up and tighten my skin back up.
#4. So I can wear my engagement ring again πŸ˜‚πŸ’
#5. My final ending weight goal is 145lbs - which at this very moment, is 37.6lbs away.... Which is extremely achievable!! Once at, 145lbs I would be losing, 117lbs since walking out of the hospital with baby Bear. Work hard, play hard, then work even harder and play even harder!!

During my journey, I'll share a little about how everything is going and my progress.... Progress, not perfection!

The picture is a screen shot of my Renpho smart scale. A normal scale is about $18 and this smart scale was $25 on Amazon.com The price isn't much different BUT the details are so GOOD! Helps you to understand the difference in fats and gives you a range you should be in for your specific needs and requirements, gives you definitions for each category and the healthy range.
This is not a paid advertisement, but let me tell you.... I used to pay out the nose for a health coach and the magic machine (πŸ˜‚) but technology has come a long way and I have the collected tools from coaching to guide me through my journey, even though I fall sometimes, this keeps me accountable.
I, needed the extra details to keep me between the lines. Hope this helps! 😍
