OPERATION: PORCH SNACKS 🥤🍪 | PART 3

WE HAVE OUR FIRST GUEST! 🥹🤎

And the funniest part? It was the guy who literally delivered the “HELP YOURSELF” sign. 😂

I was SO happy to see someone actually stop and help themselves. This little project is officially doing what I hoped it would do — making food and drinks available to whoever might need or want them.

Now I’m excited to see who our next porch guest will be! 👀🫶🏼

OPERATION: PORCH SNACKS 🥤🍪 | PART 2

The snacks have ARRIVED! 🥹🤎

After sharing my idea for a little snack + drink station on our porch, I couldn’t wait to actually start putting it together.

The goal is simple: have food and water available for anyone who happens to come onto our porch. Whether someone needs it, could use it, or just wants a little snack.

It may seem like a small thing, but I really believe kindness doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Sometimes it’s just having something available for another person. 🫶🏼

Now it’s time to get everything organized and stocked!

Operation: Porch Snacks is officially becoming a thing. 😂🥤🍪

OPERATION: PORCH SNACKS 🥤🍪 | PART 1

This idea has been on my mind because I really want to find more ways to spread kindness in the world. 🤎

Food and water are basic human necessities, and I love the idea of having something available for anyone who happens to come onto our porch — whether they need it, could use it, or simply want a snack and a drink.

It doesn’t have to be a huge gesture to make someone’s day a little better.

So I’m starting Operation: Porch Snacks and taking you guys along as I put together our little snack and drink station.

Hopefully it can be a small reminder that kindness can be simple, accessible, and for everyone. 🫶🏼

This is Part 1… more to come! 👀

Today is one of those days where you notice EVERY little inconvenience and start wondering… can ANYTHING just go right? 😂🙃

I decided to whip up a batch of chocolate peanut butter protein muffins because we ran out of the other ones.

Simple enough, right?

Well…

I hadn’t even put in the second ingredient when Liam decided to dump the dog food all over the floor. 🙃

Okay. Pause. Clean it up. No big deal.

Back to baking.

We get to the eggs. I need two.

I grab the first one…

SPLAT. 🥚💀

Okay, cool. Grab a paper towel. Clean it up. Keep going.

Finally get the eggs into the bowl and go to put the shells in the compost.

And of course, in the process, I knock over my bountiful potato harvest sitting beside it. 🥔😂

One inconvenience? Fine.

Two? Okay, we’re still good.

Three? I’m officially over these muffins. 😂

And that’s the thing about days like this. None of these things are actually a big deal. But when they keep piling up, it starts to feel like the universe is personally testing your patience.

Sometimes we don’t need to fix the whole day.

We just need to pause, clean up the mess, take a breath, and keep going.

Because one frustrating moment doesn’t mean the whole day is ruined.

And sometimes the muffins are still worth making. 🤎😂

I’ve realized I’ve become a “I’ll just do it myself” kind of girl.

Not because I necessarily want to be.

Not because I don’t appreciate help.

And definitely not because I think I’m the only one who can do things right.

Sometimes it’s just because being let down hurts.

It’s easier to learn how to do something myself than to get my hopes up, wait for it to get done, and then feel that disappointment when it doesn’t.

So I figure it out.
I learn.
I fix it.
I do it myself.

And I’m proud of the woman I’ve become because of it… but if I’m being honest, sometimes I wish I didn’t always feel like I had to be her.

Sometimes I don’t want to be the capable one.

Sometimes I just want to know someone else will handle it—and I won’t have to wonder if it actually will. 🤎

So… what am I supposed to do with ALL these potatoes and garlic?! 😂🥔🧄

Clearly I’ve gotten myself into a serious storage situation here. 😂

Give me your best potato + garlic storage tips and recipes! 👇🏼

What should I make with these before I somehow manage to forget about them and discover a science experiment in my pantry? 😂

I saw a video talking about how 10 minutes of dancing a day can be a little mood boost, and I want to add something to that list:

The power of a shower. 🚿

When you’re struggling mentally, even basic things can feel like SO much work.

Getting yourself into the shower.
Washing your hair.
Putting on fresh clothes.
Brushing your teeth.
Getting out of those pajamas you’ve been wearing all day.

It might not magically fix everything, and it certainly isn’t a replacement for therapy or medication when you need those things.

But sometimes that little reset can make you feel just a tiny bit more human. 🫶🏼

So if you’re having a hard day, start small.

Take the shower.
Put on clean clothes.
Dance for 10 minutes.
Drink some water.
Step outside.

You don’t have to fix your whole life today. Sometimes you just need to take care of your body for a few minutes. 🤎

Should we start a series called “What Aldi Got Me to Buy This Week”? 😂

Because I do my Aldi shopping online, which means I should be safe from impulse purchases, right?

WRONG. 😂

That Aldi Finds section gets me EVERY. TIME. 👀

I’ll be scrolling through thinking I’m just getting groceries and suddenly I’m like, “Well… I didn’t know I needed that, but apparently I do.” 😂

They really know what they’re doing.

So… should I start showing you guys what the Aldi Finds section convinced me to buy each week? 😂👇🏼

Here’s lasts weeks 🍳

IF I COULD EXPLAIN TO YOU WHAT MOTHERHOOD IS LIKE…

One minute your kid is handing you a picture covered in hearts telling you that’s how much they love you. 🥹

Two hours later you’ve ruined their entire life because you asked them to pick up the books they threw after being told it was bedtime. 😂

Motherhood really said: you’re my favorite person AND my greatest enemy. Both can be true. 💀

Summer = mosquito season. 🦟🙃

The humidity + heat are basically the perfect breeding conditions… and let’s not even talk about my neighbor’s vacant pool. 😂

At this point, my legs look like I’ve been personally targeted by every mosquito in the neighborhood.

Does anyone else’s legs look like this all summer?! 😂

Or PLEASE tell me you’ve found the magic trick to either keep mosquitoes away or treat the inevitable bites that come with walking outside. 🦟😭

I need all your tips! 👇🏼
