The weekend is still part of the program.

I used to see these as days to “fall off the wagon”. To sleep in, eat whatever I want, watch movies all day.

But those days are no longer tolerated.

I don’t go to any extremes (I definitely rest if I need it) but I stay consistent with flexibility.

I’m intentional about moving my body, staying on track with my food, and completing those necessary tasks that will help me continue to move forward.

This weekend this means I will most likely be doing lots of things with Rhys in the baby carrier while we struggle through teething 😬

I never thought food would impact my hormones this much… but it has.

For the first time ever, my postpartum cycle came back normal.

No cramps. No mood swings. No chaos.
That has NEVER happened before.

I believe carnivore helped regulate my hormones and reduce inflammation—and that’s something every mom deserves to know is possible.

Staying disciplined, even with a baby on my lap…literally.

Today I am working my other business, Sparked by Shyla, but that doesn’t mean I’m taking the day off.

I’m still getting in my workouts, doing my reading, drinking my water, and that cold shower will feel amazing when I get home tonight! 🚿

One of the biggest things I have learned lately is that it’s not about finding more pockets of time but using the time that you have in a more efficient manner 👍

He’s refining my heart, my habits, and my discipline—not for the spotlight, but for the calling.

One of the best things that has come about from me going carnivore isn’t the weight loss…it’s the return of my sanity.

Full disclosure: the immediate postpartum season after having Rhys was incredibly dark — probably the lowest I have ever felt in a very long time. It started to truly scare me so I did the one thing that I knew would have an almost immediate effect.

I cut out all sugars and carbs by going full carnivore.

Within a week, I started to feel better. My moods started leveling out. The lows weren’t quite as scary and I felt myself coming back to life, little by little.

I’m so thankful I had discovered this way of eating before and knew just what to do to help myself during that tumultuous period.

Yes, the weight loss that can happen by going carnivore is great, but there are so many other benefits that can come from it.
