Cody and I got our wedding engagement photos! We went to Northeast Minneapolis near the former Grain Belt Brewery and met Jared Fessler who did a fantastic job. Our wedding date is set for May 30, 2026!

We took the kids to our first mnaurorafc match and had a great time! They play at TCO Stadium in Eagan. The kids really got into the game. The Aurora are good — they won the night we went and they’re undefeated this season! There were plenty of prize wheels to keep the kids entertained during halftime and they had concessions along with a food truck and Von Hansens there, so you could easily eat dinner there before the game. Plus, it’s free parking! It is definitely worth the visit this summer!

It was fun broadcasting live at Bachman's Floral, Home and Garden on Friday to help them celebrate their 140th anniversary! Today, you can stop by their stores for giveaways, advice from master gardeners, live music, food trucks and more. Even the Bachman’s inside Lunds & Byerlys will celebrate with treats! Many TV shows are in reruns in the summer, but we went full throttle today at KSTP-TV! On Minnesota Live, we previewed the largest woodturners event in the world, which starts Thursday in St. Paul. My uncle, Dan, is part of the event, and was able to stop by the studio! Then Twin Cities Live dedicated 90 minutes to sleep! My neurologist from Noran Neurology, Dr. Friday, shared ways to get a better night’s sleep. Then Elizabeth Ries and Ben Leber were able to try CPAP machines out! It was a very fulfilling day!

What a great weekend! We kicked off Pride month at an annual happy hour with 20 friends which led into us shutting down EaTo in Minneapolis. Then we stopped by Nye's Bar so Cody could check it out for the first time! On Saturday, we were in Hugo for a 1980s themed car show! Since we were at Blacksmith Lounge & Broaster, we had to get broasted chicken and play pull tabs! What was the highlight of your weekend?

Today, we bid farewell to Doris, a longtime member of Hubbard Broadcasting. Anyone who signs an on-air contract at KSTP knows Doris, who worked in the Legal Department since 1981.

Doris was the reason I have a job at KSTP. Her son was in the Minnesota Boychoir with me, and Doris was my chaperone on tours. She knew I liked the Minnesota State Fair and local TV news, so when KSTP was hiring for folks to work at their State Fair booth 20 years ago, she put in a good word for me. And that brings us to today.

Doris, we will miss you around the building!
