Before we left for the cabin in Crosslake, Cody and I were happy to deliver the flowers from our wedding to volunteers at Open Arms of Minnesota. The nonprofit delivers medically-tailored meals to people living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, ALS, MS and other life-threatening illnesses free of charge. Since 1914, my dad’s side of the family has passed along the same cake topper from wedding to wedding. It’s made of sugar and continues to hold up extremely well! Last Saturday, Cody and I were able to join the list of love stories that used this cake topper, which include my parents, grandparents and sister.

My heart is incredibly full after marrying my best friend and celebrating with nearly 200 of our closest family and friends. The music during our ceremony by the Minnesota Boychoir brought many to tears, our table captains overdelivered with an unexpected kick line performance and the dance floor was packed for three full hours, including a trip to the Party Zone. Thank you to everyone who made this truly special. And Cody, I love you!
