I'm extremely saddened to hear that we have lost one of the most prolific minds in the history of electronic music. While I have a deep respect for all of the early innovators I have always felt a sort of kinship with Don as he could be easily viewed as the "black sheep" of the pioneers of synthesis. He was so incredibly far ahead of his time that we've only recently begun to watch his vision flourish throughout the music community. He was arguably the first designer to build an electronic instrument for the purpose of creating electronic music. Discovering his work was one of the most invigorating and inspiring moments of my adult life. While the stone that he cast into the pond of our community may have disappeared, the ripples will echo his sentiment through the ages. You will be missed Don.
