🥩🍳 Hunter Wescott & Zach Foushee are PNW Pro-Am Champions.

🏁Final: Pacific Golf & Turf PNW PGA Pro-Am Championship from Portland Golf Club. 36-hole four-ball competition staged by the PNW Section PGA dates back to 1924.

Pro Hunter Wescott representing Pumpkin Ridge GC and amateur Zach Foushee .foushee representing Langdon Farms GC teamed to post a -18 total and captured the championship title. A final round of 62 in the best ball format propelled Wescott and Foushee to the top of a very crowded leaderboard. Wescott is the 2024 Oregon Chapter PGA of the Year and Foushee is the three-time reigning Oregon Amateur champion.

🏆 🌲 Austin Hurt wins PNW PGA Professional Championship for 2nd time!

🏁Final: PNW PGA Professional Championship from Canyon River GC in Missoula, Montana. 54-hole championship serves as the qualifier for the 2026 PGA Professional Championship to be played at Bandon Dunes GR in April 2026. From there, top finishers earn a berth to the 2026 PGA Championship.

Austin Hurt of Wing Point G&CC posted an impressive 6-stroke victory. The win is Hurt’s 2nd title in this championship. He posted rounds of 63-64-70 for a -19 total consisting of 20 birdies and 2 eagles over the 3 rounds. Hurt won $10,000 and earned his berth to the national PGA Professional Championship.

In addition to Hurt, Kyle Kelly of The Creek at Qualchan, Bryce Fisher of Arrowhead GC, Brad Elzie of Meadow Springs CC, Derek Berg of PNW Golf Academy, Russell Grove of Eastern Washington University, Sabrina Bonanno of Sahalee CC and Jason Aichele of Meadow Springs CC all earned spots to the National Championship next spring at Bandon Dunes.

🔥🔥 Kevin Murphy is Idaho Mid-Amateur champion after a 17-stroke victory!

🏁Final: Idaho Golf Association Men’s Mid-Amateur from BanBury GC in Eagle, Idaho. 54-hole championship featured a field of players age 25+ from across the state.

Kevin Murphy of Boise, Idaho, a newly re-instated amateur, torched BanBury for a -20 winning total and a 17-stroke victory! Murphy, an Oregon State Beavers alum, made a remarkable 24 birdies and 2 eagles over 54 holes in shooting scores of 64-66-63. Murphy is no stranger to winning in the region, in 2011 he won the PNGA Junior Amateur.

🏡 Rudy Caparas captures PNW PGA Northwest Open at The Home Course.

🏁Final: Pacific NW Section PGA Northwest Open Invitational from The Home Course in DuPont, Washington. 54-hole championship featured a massive field of section professionals and top amateurs. The Home Course served as the host site for the 4th consecutive year.

Rudy Caparas of Five Iron Golf (Kirkland) won his first PNW Section PGA Major title with a -16 total and a birdie on the first playoff hole. Caparas, who has been in contention at multiple tournaments in 2025 including U.S. Open Final Qualifying and on the Vancouver Golf tour, shot scores of 67-66-67 at The Home Course.

With Caparas’ victory, this means the winners of the Oregon Open (Jamie Hall), Rosauers Open (Daniel Campbell), and NW Open (Caparas) all played in the 2025 NW Golf Report Spring Classic!

🏆🏆Austin Krahn wins BC Junior & BC Amateur in wire-to-wire fashion!

The 17-year-old Krahn won provincial titles and . Next Krahn defends his title at the upcoming B.C. Indigenous Championship, which is being played at the St. Eugene Golf Resort. Krahn will be attempting to win his third straight Indigenous title. He also won the 2024 BC Junior Championship.

🔥 Flawless final round 63 catapults David Hansen to another Columbia River Open title!

🏁Final: 3rd Annual Columbia River Open Invitational from Columbia Point GC in Richland, Washington. 54-hole open championship staged in the Tri-Cities featured a $3,000 first place prize with a field of professionals and amateurs competing for the title. NW Golf Report is proud to work alongside the Columbia River Open in the staging and promotion of the championship.

The tournament prides itself on being a true “open” working hard to protect par by speeding up greens, lengthening holes, and modifying par down to 70. Fierce winds in Round 1 added to the challenge in 2025.

David Hansen of Edmonds, Washington claimed the Columbia River Open title for the 2nd consecutive year (previously named Columbia Point Open). In 2024, Hansen set a new tournament scoring record when he posted an even par total of 210. This year, Hansen posted rounds of 73-68-63 for a 7-stroke victory. Hansen’s final round featured 7 birdies and no bogeys. As a professional, David Hansen won the $3,000 first place check. This is not the first time Hansen as won a NW Golf Report associated event as he won the 2024 NW Golf Report Spring Classic and 2024 Warden Open.

🦀 Rob Gibbons wins 2025 Senior Washington Open and $6,000 with birdie on 1st playoff hole.

🏁Final: 7 Cedars Senior Washington Open from The Cedars at Dungeness in Sequim, Washington. 54-hole championship staged by the Western Washington Chapter PGA featured more than 220 senior professionals and amateurs from throughout the PNW.

The 7 Cedars Resort announced a landmark agreement to continue as the tournament’s title sponsor through 2030.

Rob Gibbons of Oregon’s Arrowhead GC birdied the first playoff hole to win the Senior Washington Open and the $6,000 first place prize. Gibbons emerged from windy, tough scoring conditions in the final round to finish ahead of Jeff Coston, who has won this event 13 times, and Mark Knowles, who earlier in May qualified for the 2025 U.S. Senior Open.

🇺🇸 18-year-old Natalie Yen and 16-year-old Asia Young are 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball champions.

🏁Final: U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball from Oklahoma City CC in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma. 10th playing of this USGA national championship featured an exemption into the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bandon Dunes for the winners.

With NW Golf Report’s commitment to spotlight junior golf, Natalie Yen and Asia Young rise to national champions is no surprise. These 2 players have been featured a lot for their big wins.

Yen and Young qualified for the championship in October 2024 right here in the PNW at The Home Course. In Oklahoma, the duo earned the top seed in stroke play qualifying. Yen and Young won 5 matches in 3 days to lift the USGA title.

🧨 Conner Robbins wins 99th Washington Open in thrilling final round filled with low rounds.

🏁Final: Washington Open Invitational from Tacoma C&GC in Lakewood, Washington. The Pacific NW Section PGA staged the 99th playing of the state open at historic Tacoma C&GC , known for its excellent conditioning.

Conner Robbins .robbins of Northshore GC won the state open title at -13 with rounds of 68-68-67. Robbins birdied 6 holes on the back nine including a birdie on the final hole to claim victory by a single stroke. Robbins, a Washington Huskies golf alum, current collegiate coach of Univ. of Puget Sound Loggers , and champion of 2023 Rosauers Open in Spokane, won a first place check of $7,000.

NW Golf Report Spring Classic veteran Rudy Caparas finished in t2, along with Jesse Heinly of Central Oregon & Blake Snyder and Andrew Von Lossow who were fresh off a high finish as a duo on the Grass League in Arizona. Von Lossow won low amateur honors.

🏁Final: U.S. Open Local Qualifying from Shadow Hills CC in Junction City. Oregon. 18-hole qualifier staged by Oregon Golf Association served as Oregon’s only local qualifier. Shadow Hills served as host of the Oregon Classic on the now Korn Ferry Tour from 1998-2008.
