On Sunday, October 6, the Gull Lake Area Rotary Club is serving up its annual Italian Dinner at Gull Lake High School. Every lasagna meal purchased helps fund Rotary grants that go right back into our community, over $15,000 last year alone for things like shoes, scholarships, computers, and local empowerment programs.

This year, you can grab:
• A hearty individual lasagna meal for just $12
• Or the NEW Take & Bake pan (feeds 6–8), perfect to share, save for later, or gift to a neighbor who could use a warm meal

Your dinner does more than feed you, it helps Rotary continue making a difference right here at home.

𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗠 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧: KDPS has been made aware of a phone scam in which a caller falsely identifies themselves as "Sgt. Brian Cake with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department" and claims there is a warrant for your arrest. The caller then states a bond can be paid over the phone and proceeds to ask you to verify sensitive personal information.

To clarify, Sgt. Cake is a member of KDPS, not the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office. Additionally, KDPS will never request payment over the phone for an outstanding warrant. While there are rare occasions where an officer may ask for sensitive personal information over the phone—such as when you call us to make a report, and we need to enter your information into our system—KDPS will never solicit this information in the manner described in this scam.

If you have lost money as a result of this scam, please contact the Kalamazoo County Dispatch Authority (KCCDA) at 269-488-8911 to file a police report. If you ever have doubts about the legitimacy of a caller claiming to be law enforcement, hang up and contact KCCDA to verify their identity.

Stay vigilant and share this information to help protect others from falling victim to scams.
