ALERT CANCELED. REPORTING PARTY RECANTED, AND THERE IS NO MISSING CHILD.
The St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives have been able to confirm that there was never an abducted child from the 9800 block of New Hampshire Avenue in the Affton-Southwest Precinct.

While we are extremely grateful that there is no child in danger, we want to be very clear - we will use all available resources to ensure our community members, especially the most vulnerable among us, are safe.

Detectives are seeking charges against the two women involved in this hoax. Thank you to all our law enforcement partners, including the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and St. Charles City Fire Department, who provided resources and tips for the search.

AMBER ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED: 5-year-old Alesia Dawson, black female with four ponytails and last seen wearing a pink "Flower Power" t-shirt and blue shorts. She is described as 2 feet 6 inches tall and approximately 60 pounds.
The child was taken around 8 a.m. from the 8900 block of New Hampshire Avenue in a stolen vehicle. The vehicle has been recovered, but the child has not. If you have info, call 911 immediately. DO NOT LEAVE TIPS HERE. CALL 911

You may recognize her name, as she was one of our own for years. Danielle is top tier, a born leader, and will excel in any position!! East Central wishes her the very best in her new role at Central County 911.

Central County Emergency 911 is proud to announce the promotion of Danielle Ploch to the role of Assistant Shift Supervisor!

Danielle brings eight years of dedicated service at Central County to this position. During a competitive selection process, she was recognized for her consistent dependability, deep operational knowledge, and the steady support she provides to her teammates day after day.

In her new role, Danielle will help guide the daily operations of our Emergency Communications Center—supporting accurate call processing, efficient dispatching, and smooth radio communications. She will work closely with call takers and dispatchers, offering mentorship, feedback, and hands on assistance that strengthens the entire shift.

Danielle will also assist with staffing coordination, schedule management, and the ongoing development of personnel—key responsibilities that help ensure our center remains fully ready to serve the community around the clock.

Her sound decision making and steady presence make her a valuable addition to our leadership team.
